[Cloud Crestfall]

Cloud unlocked the doors to ‘Jim’s late night tattoos and piercings’, keys jingling as it rattled open, a rusty bell ringing and he went inside. It was dark but neutral toned lights illuminated through the windows and he made his way around the tables, and overloaded amount of stuff to turn on the light. The store was just another squished rectangle along the very short street of old buildings leading to the general store. It was so unimpressive, he didn't think it even mattered if he came in without shoes or a shirt.

Flicking the switch, it made a sharp click and buzzing sounds resounded across the building with the lamps. On the outside, it was just any regular tattoo shop; some drawings were in his opinion, distorted and crap. It didn’t help that the guys who worked here were rather dingy, and looked like they never showered because then Feather was like free eye candy. At least it was a place where if you knew who you came to see then you got a VIP pass to something better.

Photographs, sketches nailed with a pin, and print outs stapled on the walls lined the walls around small tables around the room. He looked around at the mess that others had left behind and flipped the closed sign on before disappearing behind a velvet curtain towards the back, tying it to the side and pulling open French doors. Cloud made his way down a spiral staircase to an entire floor below, loudly exclaiming to Feather. ”All set Yo.”

This was the other half of the studio, underground, unknown and unexpected of a shoddy place in a small town. Elaborate frames with greyscale images stacked amongst curiousities, occult and spiritual. There were unusual taxidermy creations and gothic items against a dark backdrop. Canvases of different shapes and sizes rested against a red brick wall, and an incomplete painting stood on an easel. The furniture was nothing like what was in the front of the store and a reclining bed chair aside a table with ink bottles and machinery lay in the middle. It was a spacious area; they were walking into an entirely different area where Feather worked. Most of her clients were female, and she had the freedom to decorate an exclusive section for her much sought after designs; they had privacy and she could take her time. 

Cloud was usually done quickly because he didn’t work on massive pieces; she did and sometimes he would leave to do other things as a result of her ten hour inking streak. That was mostly why she had never met Catcher; they would never make it back when she was done. The chandelier dimly lit, he turned on the spotlight lamp for her and went to sit down on her fainting couch, checking his phone for his own schedule tomorrow. Off day? Cloud looked up pleased, suddenly guffawing that Catcher had told him he was sitting on a Duchesse Brisée antique and he didn’t understand why he spoke gay for furniture and never thought to just date a guy who’d understand him. His brother was a tragedy with all the wrong girls anyway; so why make life hard? He had looked at him like he was speaking something alien; he could bet none of his boy’s friends had a clue about his upbringing. It made him glad to add another interesting person to enjoy this space with, together with Feather no less; he had missed out on something just like this. 

The atmosphere was as though they were in a vampire estate, Victorian with a hint of the witch Feather was; timeless in the age passed. He had never looked at it that way before and now he guessed that influenced the cold ones to come to this place; they were here to see her and feel at home. Cloud had even moved a liquor cabinet down there for her and guests, even if he locked the expensive half for his friends only. There were sofa seats facing each other, resembling a lounge and he went to the compact modern bar and took out a sleek glass bottle of Irish whiskey. One half of his work place looked like hell and the other half was heaven.

Jim's wasn’t a place of beauty, but from what she as given Feather had made herself a space. In the bowels of the unassuming store front was were her own piece of heaven. It was her studio, a place where she could fill it with every oddity and crystals alike to help spark curiosity in the most unimaginative people. Walking into this space she felt like her creativity could never be lacking.

Following Cloud down the stairs she picked up the lighter of the started lighting some scented candles that sat resting the wood shelves by the doors. Vanilla seemed to have a calming effect on most to walked though the doors ready to get the an elaborate piece printed into the skin.

She chucked her backpack down by the drawing table and started to make her way around the room picking up her different sketch poor and portfolio to show Catcher and Tash after they arrived. She stacked them all up neatly in a pile back on her desk. She started straining up cushions and repositioning little potion bottle filled with essential oils and diaphonized rodents in jars. She had a certain way she like to display her collection and then often got moved around by people who ether for them interesting or just plain creepy. Her favorite pieces had to be her coyote skull that was incrusted with rose quartz and amethyst crystals. It had a place front and center in her industrial metal shadow box coffee table. Surrounded by a assortment of herb bundles of cleansing. There was a beauty that came with death, a least that what Feather saw with every piece she collected.


Getting everything in order, Feather sat down in a wicker chair covers in a furry white cushion. She loved the feeling of the soft faux fur against her finger tips. After stoking then pillow a few times, looked at Cloud who seemed to have gotten comfortable.” You don’t think Tash will find my bat skeleton too weird do you?”

[Catcher Reeves]

The lights were on in the hallway of the shop; the outside neon flickering eerily in the dark as night had arrived. The street was almost deserted, with a few shadowy figures smoking and talking around the corners and between the alley way that separated two blocks of unappealing storefronts. Forks was mostly safe, until the sun went down and a gathering of all kinds would flock in.

Catcher parked his bike right in front of the entrance, locking it and knowing it didn’t matter to the owner; he knew him well enough. Waiting, he checked the door was unlocked and leaned against the wall, poised to see Natasha roll up on Jake’s bike. It was quite a sight for him; she was trying to handle the weight of the beast too large for her and he smiled the same as he had done when she was trying to make her way here, leaving the park.

Feather had been on the main floor right when he showed up, and he saw her walking around and vanish, thinking to himself that it would be nice to just be downstairs for the night. They didn’t need to go anywhere else, her studio was a haven Cloud had shown him before, and it had everything they would want. Most of the décor was fun and if he had half a mind to collect things it would be similar to what Feather was interested in, dark and odd. All it came down to would be if Natasha thought it was too edgy and strange to be surrounded by preserved butterflies and bleached skeletons as well as other organic materials; he figured he didn’t really know her that well at all.

Standing with the cold stone against his back, he took off the bandana, stuffed part of it into his back pocket so it hung like a tail. Catcher pulled at his hair so it wasn’t sticking out in all directions and had some messy shape as he considered what helpful information he could actually share to Feather, regarding what Natasha might like. It seemed limited… he had never even asked her what she liked to eat or do on her own time, in the end all he could think about was Quil and feelings. He would need to filter all this convoluted junk from his brain when he made his way downstairs. Feather was sure to be ready by now and there would be so much for Natasha to take in the moment she went into her studio. It felt like the first time every time he had entered.

Natasha parked the motorcycle back behind Catchers, and quickly went in the shop behind him. Forks looked different at night so much more uninviting then during the day. She pulled out the keys and all up quickly behind Catcher. She had remembered the signs from the night that they had drunk or much and parties to hard. That night she maintained willing to get any work done. Tonight would be different she mark her skin spontaneously. Something that she had lacked till recently.

Walking up to see Catcher waiting for her, she looked at his hair somehow even when in the looked unkempt it looked it looked oddly perfect. She could smell the scent of vanilla trailing up into room coming up from below her space must be downstairs. Running he fingers in his hair she straighten up the a few last strands that were sticking up on a weird angle.

“Are you sure you ready to help? Your not up to it its fine.” She didn’t really share much with recently Catcher beside some stolen kisses and some marshmallow. He really didn’t know what her favorite colour was what type of flowers she liked . None of that was important at the moment. She have to make time for that but only if he wanted to listen.

Walking toward the back of the shop she let her nose lean the way she started making her way down the stairs stepping through a dark crushed velvet curtain, she stepped into one of the most interesting places she had even seen in he life. The room was full so many different trinket and things in jars it was almost overwhelming. It was all so nice getting a glimpse into Feather’s head. Tash looked over at Feather and Cloud looking like they were comfortably waiting her and Catcher to arrive.

“This place is amazing Feather.” She took seat on another chair on it was a white fur pillow that reminded her own fur but it wasn’t as soft as real fur. She moved the pillow away quickly to the other chair not wanting to think about her fur turned into pillows. Her eyes fell onto table with a very elaborate skull over with sparkly stones. The twins probably didn’t find it weird to have a dog skulls in the case in glass table box but they were more feline nature so to them it didn’t matter

Her eyes fell on some black frames artwork of the wall and her mind left the encased skull behind getting back up she started studying every frame. It was all so beautiful she would know how to decide. “I’m glad I’m not picking the art I’m so indecisive I would never able to decide.”

Cloud turned four glasses right side up in the opened cabinet and poured the dark golden liquid into one, smelling it first before taking a taste. The woodsy notes meshing with the marijuana like he was in an ethereal forest. Hearing Feather’s insecurity about her collection, he eyed her thinking she was nuts and took another swig. What did it matter, most people who came never hated anything; in fact they would ask her where she got the stuff from. He didn’t even know how she collected all this from flea markets and random travels. She spent most of her pocket savings on all these trinkets while he spent it on things he didn’t need a tomb for.

”She won’t. You’re worrying for nothing. She’s probably never seen one before.” He said to her trying to be reassuring when he was kind of insensitive since he wasn’t someone who hosted anybody; when his friends went to their place, it was exactly as he left it and he didn’t think they cleaned up for him over at theirs either. Feather was fussing with moving her items to place them in a way that looked better, and he smirked, knowing it looked no different to how she had it. She already put them in the best position possible in the first place; she was sort of a perfectionist and he went over to a crystal and moved it out of place. Without him, she would probably have an obsessive disorder by now, not being able to walk away from a sketch or decorating anytime she begins.

”There, stop. Tash will love everything and Catch has been here before. I just forgot to tell you.” Placing his glass down on a side table, he took one of her portfolio books and put them on the table so she wasn’t clinging to them like a bookworm, stressing out. "Just show her or let her touch them or something... you know you want to."His tone softened so he didn’t seem to not care, he cared if Feather cared; people didn’t take in what he said as much as how he said it. As far as he could tell, she would enjoy explaining the mythos and all her collection to anyone who was interested.
As he heard the upstairs door open, he knew they had arrived and he looked into his sister’s eyes, silently telling her she was prepared as she sat down in the wicker throne, he added. ”He has some of these things you like too.”

Cloud went back upstairs so they would see him and filled up a bucket of rounded ice, walking Natasha back down with him to where Feather was. He looked over his shoulder as he made his way down the steps to see Catcher come in after and he rattled the bucket higher so his friend could see he got them covered. He had been waiting on Tash’s reaction so when she said she was indecisive; he just shrugged and suggested she didn’t have to be limited. ”You can just keep adding them, all the ones you want if you can stand the pain.”
Putting down the little golden bucket next to the bottle he had uncapped, he pointed to a glass, eyebrows raised at Tash in question to whether she wanted a drink. Technically, they didn’t recommend anyone drink beforehand since it made them bleed more but it was never an issue with supernaturals."Think this is amazing, you should see her bedroom."

[Feather Crestfall]

Feather knew Cloud was right. Most people who walked into her space usually liked it and were full of curiosity. Every little thing on the shelves, and display cases were all ethically sourced. Most of the bones and specimens were found in nature or died of natural causes. Feather worried about bringing bad energy into her haven so she always inquired where things came from.

She watched as he drank the amber colored liquor from a glass. She wouldn’t partake, she took har art seriously and was not going to mess things up by drinking. She did enjoy drinking here or there but she found she would often get sleepy when she drank too much. She'd sleep so deep you would think she was in a coma. Cloud mentioning that Catcher had similar things actually caught her off guard. He didn't really seem like the type. You can't just a  book until you open it. She would have totally ask him about his collection.

She heard the click of the door handle and watched Cloud get up and take the ice bucket with him. Most of her clients saw her work first and wanted a piece of art so Feather found it hard that for the first time it was different. She had met Natasha, found a common bond they shared and then was asked about getting a tattoo without even knowing what she would like. Girls were easy, they usually didn't want anything too big or elaborate. Sometimes it was as simple as doing a little crystal heart. Only the tough ones would sit for some of her full day sessions. Most would have to take breaks and it made getting everything finished up feel more valued.

Picking up one of her sketchbooks she placed it on her lap and waited for everyone to come down. Cloud was followed down the stairs by Tash and Catcher behind her. She watched as Tash looked around the room then took a seat down beside her. She watched as she touched the pillow then quickly moved it out of the way. Feather just thought maybe she didn't like white or something.

She watched as Tash got up quickly after looking at her table with the coyote skull inside, she didn't say anything about it but got up and started looking at her framed work on the wall. Only her favorite designs were placed there for display. Some of them were the one she had been showing her earlier. Tash complimented the room and it made Feather’s face blush. "You really think so? I honestly didn't know how to read you when you first came in. Was there a problem with my pillow?"

Cloud jumped up and mentioned her bedroom. Only the most elite were allowed to enter her inner sanctum. She would show it to Tash if she wanted to, a female friend in this town would be great instead of sitting around with guys looking at her awkwardly. When Tash mentioned about being indecisive it made sense, when you're about to mark your body till you die it could always be difficult.

"Don't worry about a thing, we got this right Catcher?" It was the first moment she had acknowledged his presence. "Which one is your favorite?"

[Catcher Reeves]

He lowered his head so she could fix the stray strands, looking at her as she asked how he felt about helping. It caught him off guard and made him aware that he was sending her doubtful signals when he didn’t mean to. She probably realized they didn’t know all that much about each other and this was actually an opportunity for both of them, in the sense she would do more of the opening up; it would all work out for the better. ”I’ll be fine. Just think about what you might want, maybe the three of us even like the same things.” Smiling widely at her, he had opened the door and walked in after her, locking it with a twist to the bolt after they entered. Catching the glimpse of Cloud and his ice bucket, he turned behind his shoulder to check outside and their bikes once more before his shoes started clanking against the metal spiraling steps.

The aroma of Vanilla bean filled his nose so completely his senses thought he had eaten a candle. Catcher rubbed his nose, getting used to this for the first time since had been here; she had her touch to this place. It came alive unlike all his previous visits. Cloud’s tobacco added a hint of burnt wood to the air and the whiskey’s age poke through; he noted it actually was a good combination.
He loitered around a group of shadow boxes in the corner, believing he hadn’t noticed them before when Cloud started talking about Feather’s bedroom, diverting his attention. There was no doubt her place would be a mystery haven compared to Cloud’s room where the balcony windows were the most beautiful part. Recalling, he did have some solid wood items which were most likely curated by his sister, and the sleeping area reminded him of France in the most minimalistic daydream; it did unfortunately seem like a forest fire happened in the space, hazy smoke of all kinds making them fall asleep to never wake up. ”There’s nothing wrong with your pillow.”

Amused, he just thought; girls. From basic understanding of Natasha and Feather, he knew neither one was trying to offend the other but they were very awkward together. More than he had ever seen between two people; he sighed and strolled over to grab her furry cushion, deliberately hugging it and laying on her dramatic couch as if it was regal bed. ”Of course we’ve got this.” He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling gravity pull in a nice stretch; he wasn’t going to lay there forever, he had to get up and see all her work, as well as listen to them talk, help them think. Although, he was already listening and readying his brain for some creativity through observation, his mind was just quieting and balancing his inner self and what he was accustomed to being in Cloud’s presence; truthfully, he was just supposed to be reassuring. There was a direction the two girls were already working towards, they just couldn’t tell yet; they were also both going to have strong opinions and didn’t honestly need much of his.

”If you can’t choose, just start from scratch.” He smirked briefly, opening his eyes and sitting up, putting the pillow down and going to the bar to pour a tiny shot worth of dark calming alcohol, plonking a cube of ice in that glass. Eyeing the old fashioned glass as he swirled the whiskey around, habitually liking to see the clarity of liquid colour, he idly suggested, revealing himself to be out of character.”All the things you like, then all the things you feel… what means most to you...it’ll come.”Feather’s aura was rubbing off on him and he wasn’t steadfastly sure why he was blurting things positively when normally he had very little to say unless he was joking with Seth or answering something serious; so much angst neutralised in her psychic den.

Everything in the room had a strange way of playing with your psyche. Everything was so different when you looked at individual objects enough they could easily portray different emotions. The crystals and gemstones were so pretty and from the little understanding of crystals she had, Tash knew they were used for different things like dispelling negative energy or something like that. "Yes,your pillow is fine, it just reminds me of my fur. Know there not real, they feel close though." Natasha laughed it was weird to be able to openly talk to someone she just met today about fur colors. It was nice to be able to share. When Cloud mentioned her bedroom, it made Tash even more curious about what was in there. "I bet it will be even more interesting but I don't know how it could be. "

She ran her finger along and some of the fancy looking back picture frames that sat on a blood red wall. Her fingers traced the filliagry as she went frame by frame examining detail. She tried to do as Catcher said so she looked and tried to find something that spoke with her. "What do you think about this one Catch?" Not many people's options mattered to her nowadays but Cather is the one she had wanted to be around more. Seth had started being more busy and secretive around her lately; she didn't mind she would often reconnect when they were put on patrol and from where she was concerned he was allowed to keep from her.She had been hiding things from him lately too.

She had been drawn to a piece which incorporated many elegant images with organic ones. Some natural elements that connected it to the land bit something so beautiful.The flowers and gems were starting to resonate with her.they were on the list for top contenders. There was something about her art that was so balanced, delicate and feminine it was beautiful. "I really like these over here. Can you show me more like it?" There was one piece on the wall Tash pointed out before wrapping her had around Catcher’s glass, taking a sip from it and handing it back. She didn’t want to drink too much,a little bit would help loosen up her creativity, too much she might make some wrong judgment.

Sitting down again in a seat where Feather could easily show her more art,Natasha began to think of ways to make her tattoo uniquely her own. The pain from the tattoo she could handle choosing a design would be hard. "Something we can work with is my favorite colors if that helps." She leaned over and started to untie her combat books she had been wearing all day and her feet were beginning to hurt.She quickly slid them off and wiggled her toes around a bit, they were going to be there for a while might as well get comfortable.

She looked over at Cloud, there was something beautiful about him even though he looked relatively unkempt, he and Feather had some similar features. she wasn't sure anyone would want so many tattoos but even with the chaoticness they all liked the fit together. "Tattooing is an interesting art form. How did you both get into it?" She didn't need a big elaborate story, she was just interested in what led them down a path where they can take their talent anywhere. Natasha never really had any talents and she wished she would have stuck to a hobby longer than a couple of years she had never mastered anything. His eyes fell upon a guitar tucked away in a corner. "Who plays guitar?"

Cloud's attention had shifted between his friends as they conversed. Eventually he just watched Catcher come up beside him and pour what to him, was not enough to drink. Reaching out, he was going to tip the bottle so it was precisely too much compared to what his friend wanted, when his hand was stopped mid air, snatched by Catcher. His whole body slumped and he clicked his tongue in a tsk, finding it unfair that he didn't get away with it because he was too predictable. He inhaled deeply and removed his hand from the grip and pouted to himself, bored already; he couldn't help that his inner being was always at a rave.

"I didn't plan on everything I got. It just happened over the years, overlapped stuff throughout; just random things I wanted or made sense to me at the point in my life. It turned out for the best because she's so..." He motioned to his sister with a lackluster point using two fingers, and leaned against the wall, taking back his drinking glass. "You know, everything is coordinated like she saw the future and had a concept ready. Now that we're pretty sleeved up all around... the ink shows how different we are, but similar... make sense?" Opening his mouth, he drank a large gulp and clanked the cup carelessly back onto the cabinet, trying to think back to the first tattoo he ever got and how he became fascinated with ink. Coming up short, he could only remember the experience and how who did it for him inspired a new outlook in life; one where he developed an elastic heart. Nothing could bring him down or make him fall apart.

"Um... I think we all do." His eyes shot onto Natasha when she asked and he saw she was musing at the guitar on it's stand. "I don't know what Feather does but we..." He took a side step and put his arm around Catcher's shoulders and grinned at her, hands moving to squeeze his face, clamping it as grandma would her cute grandson. "We play sometimes. We also... both wanna know what Feather plays though..." Taking the chance, he pushed with the question, pressuring her using the situation; he really had never seen her be musically inclined to more than her chanting, hippy, witchy stuff but he was sure, being his twin, she had a whole other side.

"Looks like my sister is the star tonight." He believed she might even hold a hairbrush and sing in her room since he was kept out of it mostly when she was up to something in there, claiming he messed up the vibes. It added to the mystery. While they were kids, she already developed a zen habit of meditating and found him disturbing, loud and impatient; drowning him out like white noise. The more she did it, the more he wanted her to join him in some notorious game and she only reluctantly did on occasion. When he attempted to be more like her, he was shifty and passed out sitting enough she gave up on him.

"You wanna play it Tash?" Returning to the originator, he asked, not knowing if she could or would and not truly caring since she was here to explore everything with Feather.

Feather watched as Tash traced her fingers along her framed work. She must have appreciated all the details she put into presenting her favorite works because she seemed to be studying them carefully. Feather loved this part of being an artist having some look at your art and having an emotional connection to it. I made her feel proud that she could create so much with just a paper and pencil and have the skill to transfer it into skin. "My room, oh it's nothing to special Clo. I have my painting on the walls, some mandala art and a meditation corner." It was really decorated elaborately but she never bragged about it.

When Tash stopped on a piece that was black and gray with pops of colored flowers and lace. Feather just nodded. She had a feeling that Tash would pick something like this. "I definitely can show you more, I have two different books full of those. All different kinds should start with your favorite flower." Feather walked over to her stack of leather bound books and pulled the top two off her drawing desk. She saw Tash take a drink out of Cather's glass. There were little sparks flying off these two. They were good together, but there was something the way they both carried themselves like they had both been through a lot and neither could fully be true to another. Something she wouldn't mention they would think was too weird.

She handled them with care, these books were precious traveling with her through every move. She listened as Tash spoke to Cloud about his tattoos, it was nice seeing her trying to bond with him too. She could see them getting along. She wasn't the typical girl Cloud went for so she wasn't sure what sort of bond they built with each other but anything better than another booty call girl she had to sit around trying to make conversations with." He is right about mine. I already had most of them drawn out before I was sixteen. Just had to wait a bit to find someone to apprentice under. I did most of the tattoos on my legs and my left arm." It was a hard skill to perfect on yourself knowingly hurting yourself for art. It was always worth it in the end. " Tattooing upside-down is the hardest thing to do. After that I knew I could do everything I wanted to achieve."

Feather placed the books down on the table and sat down near Tash and chucked the fur pillows behind the couch to make Tash more comfortable with the space." Your right, your favorite colour would be a good start. Feather started turning pages in one of her books until she got to the colored and back and gray mixed art. While she did Tash noticed a guitar in the corner and it was Cloud's so she let him explain it. When he brought up her instrument she played, Feather was slightly embarrassed it was way out there. " Don't even try to guess. I actually play the weirdest things. The pan flute and ocarina. I know I'm crazy." She shrugged her shoulders and smiled awkwardly. They were instruments that not may people played so that is why they both were so interesting to her. She just practiced a little and finally got the hang of it." Next time you come over I will play for you, the instruments are both very soothing."

Feather refocused on her books and started marking pages with sticky notes. "Catcher, what colour do you feel when you look at Tash?" She knew it was strange to ask people if they feel a colour. Its not an everyday question but when Feather looks at people she could feel their presence and it often showed to her in colours.

”Floral motif?” Catcher looked down, not having seen the image, putting his glass back on the tray without drinking from it and went to stand beside Natasha, viewing the same framed art she was asking about. ”It fits you…” Adjusting his head, he rested his eyes on her for an extended amount of time, thinking about every aspect of her and matching it to what pencil work surrounded them. It felt as though they were in a great hall alone, a palace of a gilded era, echoing and empty and she was a timeless piece that stood in the centre of everything, covered to be revealed magnificently with a pull of a drape. He shut his mouth, taking the frame off the wall and studying it, knowing he had stared at her in a weird way but trying to focus on what she needed.

Feather described her bedroom and he pursed his lips tightly to avoid a noticeable grin; Cloud had jumped around on her bed spasticating, used her earrings amongst other things. He was never comfortable sitting on her bed waiting for him, feeling like she was watching their illicit antics somewhere in the cosmos.

”Do you like certain jewels or accessories? If you liked bracelets for example, you could have these entire elements link together like a rosary, or a laced bracer, a shoulder necklace... if you want to merge it with the pack tattoo. Honestly, you have a lot of options.” His tone was questioning, intrigue seeping into his chain of words. Talking to the frame, he tilted his head, tucking a hand into his pocket as he looked to her shoulder; the tribal image starkly contrasting her. ”Maybe Feather could work around that and soften it... build from there too. I’m sure Jake won’t mind, it’s you.” Having seen Cloud alter tattoos for people, he knew Feather had the same techniques to transition it to something more suited to Natasha; she would be able to make it ‘worth having’. He smiled at her, a shred of solemnity about Jake and the pack pouring through his eyes and he put a hand on her shoulder briefly, looking around at the other frames on the wall.

Like an old fashioned projector, he saw her hair, the shade of her lipstick, the photographs of her past self, and the first time he had seen a wolf white as snow. An entire aurora borealis of colours shining against an iceberg; his eyes went upwards, seeing nothing in particular, deeply ruminating before walking past her to Feather’s table. ”What if we take this cabochon section away, keep this part…”His hand motioned circulating over the way beading had been dressed, then pointed to the flowers; his mind a million miles a minute gradually engrossed in the process of artistic creation. There was so much he didn’t know about Natasha, so much to engage with in Feather’s project, he allowed it all to overwhelm him. Her ton of sketchbooks lay strewn now, free for grabs and he opened one, flipping the sleeved pages, marveling.

”What flowers do you actually like Tash?” There was never a time he would’ve asked her, but he already attributed certain things to his perception of her; she was a spectrum of lavender and a winter bloom of pale Russian lilacs and he couldn’t explain why. He was never going to tell her; this was something he only knew when he was aware of how he felt about a woman. Veronica was a deep royal purple as intense as a mysterious Dahlia and Feather was a whole rustic bouquet of pastel blue and white love-in-a mists, a prickly intimidation yet delicate at its core. His mother had a green thumb and flowers were the only things that made her happy; he remembered how it felt to see her only at peace with floral gifts he had always pretended his father sent her. A secret he would take to the grave to keep her in that state.

His train of wistful recollections that shaped him ended when Natasha asked about the guitar and Cloud answered. It was true, they both wanted to know what Feather did with instruments because she said something about ocarinas and panflutes yet never let them see or hear it. Apparently all it took was Natasha to get her to want to perform for them. It was simple that she was not open and he had been that way at times; he just knew there wasn’t a way to survive without music in his life and yielded to Cloud’s influence. Many things he described, ended up transcribing well into Cloud’s rhythm, his genre and his thematic performances and he was glad some good came out of the bad. As for how his friend got into tattooing, they had covered ground on the subject the second time they met. Feather's talk of upside down work was impressive, and he absorbed the information with puzzling visuals.

He froze when Feather suddenly questioned him about Natasha’s colouration choices, specifically how he felt. She was scarily psychic and his eyes were shifty, staring at her, slightly squished and childlike. ”Aqua, Silver, White, Lavender…” He shrugged tamely, slouching a little sitting down in one of the chairs in a sinking motion directly facing Feather on the opposite side of her desk, biting lightly on his thumbnail. ”Don’t ask…” They were all colours he liked. Colours had no gender, no conformation, no limits, they kept transcending, blending and he never could choose one as a favourite for all time; cycling through. Right then, it was bronze. The idea of amethyst shaded ink popped in but he said nothing. He was aware how strange he sounded, how Cloud was going to judge him but as he looked to Feather, then down to her work station, the papers and the pen in her hand; he felt almost secure.All this was shedding his exterior, bleeding it; he already was an ambivert and it needed to settle down. ”It just matters what colour she likes most anyway.”

"I'm down for whatever,I'm pretty much a blank canvas, it's going to look good however it turns out." Gems and beaded chains, lace, it all seemed so much to put together. Tash shrugged,"I can't make all these choices on my own, I live for surprises now." Catcher was probably right about Jake letting her work around her pack tattoo. It was a symbol of her past, present and future. The one thing she couldn’t erase. She felt deep down it would be wrong to do anything to it. "I think we will leave the pack tattoo for now. I know it's not feminine but I have a whole other arm to be decorated."

She was impressed when she heard that Feather mentioned doing most of the work on her legs and left arm. The girl was tough to put herself under the pain of the tattoo guard; it all still looked like a masterpiece. She was uniquely gorgeous and her tattoos just enhanced her beauty. She seemed very happy to talk about her tattoos and art. Natasha looked over at Feather flipping through a book marking pages. She sure enjoyed drawing. Her mind begins to drift into itself.

Veronica and Catcher had both gained some ink on their drunken escapade after prom. She was too afraid of change before. Now she felt if she didn't change,she was wasting her second chance. She still had a fear if she ever saw Quil again go back to who she was before she drowned. She was already making plans to leave La Push for school, the farther away she was the less likely she ever saw his face again.she was not sure if she would stay close to the reservation or take off to a whole other part of the world, at this moment she was thinking about this now.

She got so lost in her thoughts she barely heard Catcher ask about her favourite flower. Her eyes fell on his face. She shook her head a bit trying to clear her thoughts. She needed more alcohol. "It's hard to choose,I love spring flowers the most. After winter they all come up like they're being reborn out of the darkness. Bringing life back into the world, it's just beautiful." She stood up and walked over to the guitar, plucking it from its hiding place.

She was impressed to learn that Feather and Cloud were so musical, and Catcher too? She never knew that about him there was so much she never asked him. She had an idea right then how to get him alone sometime,maybe she would have to do something crazy or pretend to need his help. "Ocarina and the pan flute. You're a girl of many talents. I wish I could say I was just as interesting. I took guitar lessons for a few years, played piano a bit, and tried the drums. They weren't for me. I used to be clumsy and always drop the sticks a lot." She held the wooden instrument in her hand remembering a time she played in the school talent show. She didn't know if Catcher was even watching that day. It was the first time she ever sang in front of anyone. This little room energy kept pulling her thoughts around inside her. Did these crystal stuff actually work

Tash heard Feather ask about the colours he saw when he looked at her. It was a strange question to ask, but he spoke without missing a beat. "All those are so beautiful actually. I have one thing to add though looking over to a shelf.Can it have one purple stone? it was my mom's favorite."

She slipped the leather strap from the guitar around her shoulder and began playing zombie. It was the only song she ever learned from beginning to end.she sang along quietly,it helped him keep time

[Cloud Crestfall]

Cloud pouted while nodding, more interested than he thought he’d be as Natasha talked about instruments she tried a hand at. Feather’s instrumental skills were entirely self-taught and he wondered how she would teach someone else with no material; the vision he had was comical. She was just a little girl again, sharing toys in a sandbox trying so hard to convey herself and his nod became a slow head shake.
Seeing that Natasha was drinking more of the glass Catcher her poured, he was astounded his bro did not touch it at all. Bringing it over to them at Feather’s table, putting it down between them and taking another sip of his own as he eyed the two, he attempted to see what they were both looking at in his sister’s art portfolio. ”I mean, if you want surprises then it’s gotta be random things. That's not really Feather's style.” Switching the glass in his hands, he leaned over and flipped the book to pass what Feather was deciding, careless until he lost interest and stopped. Flowers, jewels and beads, they were always similar and he wasn’t the type of tattoo artist to work on people as if they needed an ink accessory when they could just wear the item itself.

”Don’t most flowers just bloom in the Spring?” Absentmindedly, he asked confounded that she referred to them as spring flowers; everything he saw in a pot wherever urban they were just died over winter and came back, or sometimes never lived again. They were from Arizona and greenery wasn’t of the flowery kind; the most romantic thing he could think of was a desert rose and those were actually pretty ugly in his opinion. They had a great meaning though. Expecting no answer, he walked over to the armchair and sat down, leaning into the back so his head could rest. ”I can see you dropping the drumsticks… that’s too bad Pixie dust.”

It just slipped out; he called her some sort of weird nickname and couldn’t recant it. She reminded him of a twisted Tinkerbell. Cheeky little trouble maker that his friend was fatally attached to; over time, he was connecting too strongly with Catcher who was the type to only have one best friend, befitting the actual word of best. Cloud knew where he stood in their dynamic but realised he wasn’t as close to his other intoxicated friends; it made him more confused about Natasha’s presence like he couldn’t be in between. It sounded like a girl would come separate them, take their time and Catcher would change. ”We could’ve jammed with the band.” That was their past time. That was his life plan and someday he would be selling out a stadium and every song he had made in the album would be part of them too.

"At least you thought of something." He shrugged that she finally had a starting point, a good memorabilia which was what tattoos were usually about.
Cutting himself off, he stared at Catcher, who was obviously more complex than he had known, trying to hide in modesty. ”That was quick. You just think of those or what?” He asked deliberately because Catcher had said not to. Sitting forward, he was dubious that there were things being withheld from him. From furthering the music they could make. Now, even Catcher was making him want to smoke; he was going to run out of cigarettes faster and it was annoying trying to resist indoors.
”You two really need to get to know each other. This is fucking hilarious.” Shielding himself from the fact that he needed to learn more about his friends, he picked at their weakness; a foundation built on nothing but attraction. It was a no brainer that Catcher didn’t tell him about high school; even if she were a part of it, all he knew was that she dated somebody else the entire time. This guy would never tell anything in a locker room unless he was forced and he couldn't keep up with the rationale. Cloud had never met Seth, 'the best friend' but was bitter that maybe everything he wanted to know was shared there instead and he was left with all the boring stuff, not enough gossip.
”Rêve I’m telling you, for the last time you really don’t belong here. Just think about it. Talking about cabochons and shit… Living alone in this crap-hole town…” Unable to take it anymore, Cloud took out a tiny vaporizer stick filled with THC and turned it on, inhaling a mass amount of liquid calm and expressed once more what he genuinely felt despite Catcher’s earlier disapproval. If Catcher was to leave, he would go on an adventure with him and Cloud pushed this agenda for the better of his friend, for the greatest possibilities in his own life, for their wanderlust. If he was given a shot, he would take it and he would hope they could dive into it together. Natasha was a key player who stood in the way of that as he knew his friend to be heart and soul driven and he was relieved when she didn't want that; he didn't care if she changed her mind as long as it was too late. It was nothing personal. What Catcher had was a place in the eternal sunshine of Cloud's spotless mind, he couldn't erase him so he wanted to grow alongside him.

Natasha's guitar strumming brought him back to impending doom. The cranberries and their revolutionary song; he had wanted to cover it, an instrumental rock version with another singer. It was an odd choice but he didn't question it; the message quite clearly depicting his lack of understanding for the way Natasha's mind worked."A classic, not bad." Cloud's foot began tapping and he swung his head to the rhythm of the song, moving with the flow, rendering it entirely electric while the reality was acoustic; in his own universe. "Won't take long for you to get into other songs if you can deal with this one."

[Feather Crestfall]

Sometimes indecisiveness was hard to deal with when making a piece to permanently place on someone's body. Feather sensed it was months the ws being picky she seemed like she was a little closed off, like she didn't want to open up much. She was hard to read. One moment Tash would mention something sheblike then pull back. It was confusing, she would figure her out at some point. "Cloud, I'm actually having fun trying to find something nice. You just have to make some more choices Tash,maybe pick just one flower you like. " Early Spring flowers could be anything at this point depending of she lived anywhere else in her past. She has to choose eventually.

What helped sort out more of her design would be Cather's colour choices just flowed out,they would all be a nice combination all together. She was feeling like digging his choice. "Very nice, Aqua is a fun one to play with,and lavender, we can keep it black and gray with some purples and blues" She smiled at him, they were all very classy colours that could last a lifetime. She began to think about some element and picked up a pencil sketching out the outline of a design. When Tash spoke up about the purple stone she nodded. " I can do that. Amethyst is supposed to promote serenity and calmness. I love them" They must have been working because Tash started to play guitar, singing almost to sofly to hear. It was nice to learn that Tash liked music but from what she said she never really stuck to one instrument for long. “Music is like medicine for the soul. I'll show you my instruments sometime, it took me a lot of practice.`` She had spent so many hours learning the pan flute that learning the Ocarina seemed like child's play. They both produced lovely and soothing sounds. She loved them because they felt like they could heal a damaged soul.


  Listening to Cloud  taking about Catcher need to get out of town, made Feather wonder how much longer she and Cloud would be here  too. She was just making friends with Tash Md Catcher it would suck to up a go soon after finding someone she could relate to. Pushing the thoughts away she brought herself back to the moment. She need to enjoy the here and now not dwell on things she may not have control over.

Feather kept looking around the room pulling in inspiration from everything around her before placing her pencil to paper and putting in details.she started by adding some placeholder flowers, Violets, lilac and lavender. They worked with the colour scheme so if she needed to change it she would but she had to start somewhere.when she drew it was like energy was flowing out of her fingertips and travelling down the pencil and ending on the page. She set a positive intention and sometimes it just felt as the images drew themselves.

“How does this look?” Feather lifted up her page showing a light sketch outline of what she was visioning. "I still have to add the fancy stuff but won't take me long if you just want to all go and hang for a bit." She would get so focused that he would fall into a trance like state getting all quiet and barely acknowledged anything going on around her, it was like she went on autopilot. Sometimes people would find it weird but she didn't care, as her body worked her mind just wandered. Her pieces were always so beautiful in the end.

[Catcher Reeves]

Inhaling, he slowly breathed out through his nose and slid the glass towards him from the neutral space between himself and Natasha. He agreed with Cloud; only random things would mesh well if she couldn’t choose and only wanted things of meaning, but that was beyond the point of having Feather do the tattoo. It was whatever Natasha chose it to be and he went through the same motions he could tell Cloud was, beginning from spring flowers and ending at music. If all was being said that he thought of, there was nothing he needed elaborated.

Catcher took the drink and finished the rest of it, turning the cut crystal in his hand before getting up from the seat to go back to the liquor cabinet. There were other drinks in there to have and he needed it; he was never good with drugs and intoxication was more of a reprieve from life than anything else. If he hadn’t been careful and resentful of his father, he would’ve been a juvenile alcoholic but the fact was, the quantities were so low and his wolf metabolism so high, it didn’t do enough and he had caved to the liquor ghost. Behind him, Cloud was talking about how he had known the colours and he just let an annoyed nonchalant expression wash over his face. No one could see it anyway, and he listened without answering him until his name was mentioned again, the second time that night. Encouraging him to leave was not wrong but it took all gentlemanly poise to not choke Cloud at the collar.”If you want to go to Hollywood or New York City that badly, then do it. When I go, I’ll let you know but don’t get your hopes up. I can’t keep promises.”

He bent over to look at the bottles, uncorking the Grey goose and pouring himself more of it than he had for the whiskey. It was smooth, enough that it didn’t taste like anything; that was why he chose it. Drinking, he went back over to the fainting couch, picking up the furry pillow along the way and rested the cup on a side table, hugging the cushion in his arms again. He did prepare for Natasha's questions but he had a feeling she only wanted to know if they were in private; only when she thought it mattered. ”We’ll talk about this another time. I’m sure your sister can appreciate that. You haven’t been here very long.” They had high hopes for Cloud’s music and he tried to see it from his friend’s perspective, it would be a lonely road to fame but he knew he could be a superstar. The current scene was already a bustling tour but it was still underground, it was still the streets; he needed to be on the radio, on fire in a music video. If connections, his support helped make that dream a reality, it may be the best thing that he ever did for someone. Whatever Cloud wanted, it was probably just him experiencing it; they were in their own way, ride or die.

When Natasha started playing Zombie, it stuck in his head. Cloud’s foot was tapping and he could see beneath the large white vapour mist, he was absorbed in the melody and beat. ”You’re still good Tash.” The compliment came out muted, but it was from uncertainty about reminding her she had the skills she was lacking confidence in. He remembered the talent show and how he had walked in on her in the music room, hiding his own reasons to be there in favour of seeing her play and getting to know her without any distractions. She was the beautiful, popular girl and Quil’s girlfriend to which he had to settle that she was nothing but a sister. There she had been alone, shy and didn’t know anything much about him; he made the most of it keeping the spotlight on her and letting it be a time where it didn’t matter if she forgot him after. It was simply his own keepsake and he didn’t expect her to figure out what time he referred to, fumbling an awkward sentence to distract her. ”You should play with us sometime. Maybe you'll like it.”

Feather was such an opportune person for him to act weirdly to at this point; he shifted, feet in her direction as if it meant she was all the focus as he sat still. If Natasha remembered anything about the talent show, he would be surprised but he was not sure since they never talked about these things or the past more than briefly on beach night. There were miscommunicated, unexplained things long overdue; Cloud was right that they needed to get to know each other from the beginning again. Opening wounds and making new spaces was a danger he wanted to charge head first in but knew it would bite him later if he fell for her; there had always been that potential but he had no safety net.

"Just ask anything that might help you... fancy stuff or not." He had been glad Feather shared the same taste in his colour choices and that she didn’t think he was choosing all the wrong things or saying a bunch of nonsense. The other purple he had not added was then added by Natasha in an amethyst stone and he had just pressed his lips together like he could’ve hit the nail on the head with that one. Music was like medicine to the soul, Feather was decisively his dreaming spirit half and he stared at her as she worked until she held up the sketch, dazed like he had taken drugs tasting like candy. ”It looks… I’m thinking it’ll be exactly what she needs when you’re done with it.” It would be exactly what Natasha might want, but it was what he thought she’d suit, and they were choice words to encourage her without actually concluding on its current state. Although he had moved away from sitting next to Natasha at the table, he was still here and attentive.

”I’m just going to lay here unless you need me.” He scrunched into the pillow, looking at Feather as she suggested they hang out; to him, they already were. If more music didn’t bother her, that was probably the route to go but he didn’t even know what she listened to and all he could think of was some chanting, which was essentially what Cloud sounded like when he rapped. An explicit, drowning from life problems, version; then the other stuff was just loud and vibrant, his true sound. Catcher had a lot of patience for silence, and a lot of time to space out in the name of art. In the meantime, Natasha’s voice had been soothing and he was just enjoying everyone’s company, being in their element.
