Desired Character: James Sterling
Original or Canon: Original
Description of character:
Emotional:
James is, in a word, gruff. Unless you're his Raven, you better have an amazing reason for him to give an inkling of a care about whatever it is you're yapping on about. He's just that simple in his emotions, especially since his wife's death shortly before his own rebirth.
Physical:
Per vampiric usual, James is inhumanly handsome. He was fairly well-built as a human; thus, his strength was increased significantly through the change, and he is fairly strong in this new life as well, compared to the typical vampire. Looks-wise, he was the middle ground- while he wasn't ugly before the change, he wasn't totally screwed in the looks department. He stands about six-foot-one, and has a rather deep voice that resembles a complex chorus of violins and cellos when he speaks.
James has dark brown hair, so dark it almost seems black, that is longer, but nowhere near 'long'. His face shows a few of his twenty seven years he had lived before being changed.
Historical:
James met his lovely wife, Arabella, during high school. There they became the stereotypical high-profile high school couple- the football jock and the cheerleader. Then, one night... well, long story short, nine months and a sudden marriage later, Arabella gave birth to Alexander. Their marriage, as expected, hit some rough spots in its early days. However, with the birth of Raven three years later, it all began to come together as their family moved into their first house when Raven was just turning two.
When Raven was at the tender age of six, however, disaster struck. There was a fire in their home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her big brother, Alex, and mother, Ara, died in the fire while, her and her father got out, but not together. Raven survived unscathed, while James was half-dead, fried to a crisp by the flames. Then, when the firemen came and put out the fire, they looked for the bodies. They only found Raven's brother's body and her mother's, not her father's, so she thought he was dead... little did she know he was anything but.
Nearly unconscious as he was pulled off into the nereby woods, James took a sigh and prepared to face death- yet death did not come softly. It came in more flames, stronger than anything his burnt estate could have served him. It came in waves, in torrents, in tsunamis. He couldn't be alive. It just wouldn't happen. It couldn't. He couldn't even have remains after it. But it stopped with his heartbeat.
He came to in the middle of unknown woods, completely healed. Realizing his sudden craving but reinforcing himself with his every ounce of moral fibre that attacking these humans was wrong. Determined to find another way out of this curse, he forced himself onto a passing stag, discovering the secret of vegetarianism. However, he knew that Raven had survived the fire, and he would not allow himself to be a danger to her. He left, finding himself in Washington, feeding on deer. As long as his Raven is safe, this eternity will do.

Custom Title: The Immortal Demon of Life
Quote: "There's so much to know, and so little time."
Why you should get this character: Cause Raven needs a papa, and I think Raven's pretty cool. (Please don't punch me, Embry.)
