Cereah was getting thirsty again, it had been two weeks since her last hunting trip. She didn't want to go alone though. She never did like to hunt by herself. Cereah was not a solitary vamp, she loved her family and friends. She had become very close to the few friends that she had. She decided to text Violet and see if she wanted to go hunting with her. Cereah pulled her phone out of her pocket and sent her a message. Hey Vi, I am going hunting. Do you want to meet me at the place in the forest? She sent it and started for the forest.

Violet felt her phone buzzing in her back pocket. She pulled it out to see a new text message from Cereah, asking if she wanted to go hunting. Quickly she hit "reply" and typed out her message.
"I will meet you there," she replied.
As soon as she put her phone back in her pocket and took off out the door of her house towards the forest to hunt. It had been a few weeks since her last hunt, so she needed it.

Cereah got the message from Violet saying that she would be there while she was running through the wood the the meeting place. Cereah was glad to have Violet meeting her. Cereah still had questions that she wanted answered about Violet's creator. How could they have been from New Orleans, and Cereah never hear her father mention them? Why had they left New Orleans? She wanted those answers among others. She arrived at the meeting place and waited on Violet to arrive.

Violet ran through the forest until she caught Cereah's scent and followed the trail until she reached a clearing where Cereah was waiting for her. She stopped and walked towards her.
"Sorry it took me so long," she apologized. "I got a little distracted."
A little distracted was an understatement. A small elk caught her fancy about halfway there and she was so thirsty that she could not have resisted. Besides, it was only a ten minute detour. Violet wondered why Cereah had asked her to come, but then again she had a lot of questions about Cereah herself. They had both came from New Orleans, but she had never seen her before. Violet had so many questions, but she decided to save them for later.

Cereah hadn't been waiting that long. "It's cool Violet. I haven't been here that long." Cereah wanted to talk to Violet but she need to hunt first. "I asked you to come because I wanted to talk to you more, but I need to hunt first." Cereah had gone to long without hunting to be around humans and the weekend was almost over. Cereah was going to hunt and then she was going to sit down with Violet and get to the bottom of things.
Cereah stood still and let her senses roam. She checked first to make sure that there were no humans around. She then caught the smell of a mountain lion. She ran after it and she jumped into the trees for a better advantage. When she was over its tan body, she jumped on it and it was over in a matter of seconds. Cereah was still thirsty so she went after the small elk herd nearby. After three elk she was full and ready to talk to Violet.
She turned to where Violet was and started to speak. "So Violet, now that we have hunted, I was hoping we could talk. I still have questions about how we can both be from New Orleans, but not know each other. Though I do realize that you are much older than me." Cereah finally stopped for Violet to answer. She hoped that Violet would want to talk.

Violet waited patiently while Cereah hunted. In her head, she thought of a few key questions to ask Cereah when she returned. Strangely enough, Violet felt as if she had a connection of some sort to her. She couldn't tell right away, but something was there. When Cereah returned, they began their conversation.
"I was wondering the same thing. I figured I would have seen you before since I came back to visit New Orleans quite frequently after my transformation. Which part of the city did you live in?"

Cereah was wanting to figure things out as much as Violet was. "We actual had two houses. One in the Garden District that was Xavier's from when they first came to New Orleans, and then my house that was actually in Metairie just outside for New Orleans. We stayed at the house in New Orleans on the weekends, but that is where Xavier and Charlie lived until Charlie made me. I have only been a vampire for about 8 years now. I am not surprised that we don't know each other, but my dad and grandfather have been in New Orleans since it was founded. You should have known them, I would think. Sorry I am rambling." Cereah finally shut up and looked at Violet

"No, it's perfectly fine," Violet reassured her. "My family lived technically just outside of New Orleans, on a bayou. We lived there from the time I was born until the fire that took my family."
She paused momentarily. It was still difficult for her to talk about her family, even a century later. Almost daily, she thought about them and how much she missed their smiling faces, especially her father's.
Sighing, she continued, "After my transformation, I stayed in the area for a few years before moving on to other places. The name Charlie does sound somewhat familiar to me though. Lyra mentioned something about a man that she fell in love with a long time ago, just a few years before she made me."

Cereah was shocked almost speechless, when Violet said that her father's name sounded familiar and that is was because her creator had been in love with someone. Charlie had never mentioned ever being in love and he was dead set against Cereah having a mate. All Cereah could think to say was, "What all did Lyla tell you about this man?" How could her loving father and grandfather never mention this to her?

"She said he was a very sweet French man. They met while hunting in a nearby woods area one night. Their love affiar was very brief, but it had a lasting impact on her as she has never loved another since. She said they went to Paris at one point for a small trip. But, she would not tell me much else about him. It was too painful for her."
Violet hoped that something from her information would catch on in Cereah's own memory of her father. They were making a connection and it was hopeful in Violet's mind of finding someone she could be family to. Right now, she could only hope.

Cereah was convinced that Charlie and Lyla had been mate, due to the fact that Charlie and Xavier where the only french vampires in New Orleans, it had to be one of them. Xavier had told her long ago that he had never loved anyone since his transformation, so that left her father. "How could Charlie never tell me about this? I thought I knew my father but I guess there are things that I will never know. Cereah was about to say something else when she realized something that almost upset her. Cereah looked at Violet and said as she pulled out her phone and started texting. "You know what, Violet, I know how to find out the truth." She finished with the text and sent it to Kyle, telling him where to meet them in the forest and to come now, like ASAP. She looked back and Violet and answered the question she already knew was coming. "Kyle was my father's best friend. He has known my father longer than anyone next to my grandfather. If anyone would know the truth it would be him. Cereah wanted the truth more than anything.

Kyle heard his love's ring tone and looked down at his phone. He read Cereah's text and started for the forest where she told him to meet Violet and herself. Kyle had a feeling that he knew what this was about and prepared himself to answer any and all questions the two might have. Arriving in the forest he gave Cereah a kiss and Violet a hug "Hello ladies did you two have a good hunt?"

Cereah kissed Kyle back when he arrived and asked about their hunt. "Yeah we did but now we need some answers out of you. You were my father's best friend and he considered you as his brother, so I need you to tell me the truth. I want to know if my father ever had a mate in New Orleans, before he created me." Cereah was going to get to the bottom of this mystery one way or the other.

Violet watched as Kyle arrived and greeted Cereah. It made her miss Evan all that much more. Since he had left, nearly two weeks earlier, she had not been the same. If she could cry, Violet was sure she would have cried an ocean by now. However, she pushed her emotions aside to listen to Cereah ask Kyle about her father so that they could get to the bottom of the mystery.

Kyle took hold of Cereah's hand and found a place to sit to answer their questions looking at Violet he patted the tree next to him. Looking into both of their eyes he took a deep breath Kyle knew that Violet had some idea that they were sisters but needed confirmation on this as did Cereah. "Yes your farther had a lover before you were created her name was Lyra your mother Violet. After she left New Orleans is when you both were created"/b] Kyle sat there and waited for this little bit of information to set in and the questions that were sure to fallow.
