Her face reddened as she listened to the words that came out of Catcher's mouth. She didn't want to think of Jake looking up any girls skirts but it was the mention of Quil that made him shake her head. He had been nothing but respectful to her, he was a real sweetheart, he probably volunteered to join the team just to make sure the other boys would be treating her propper too. "He didn't even know I tried out yet. You'll just have to see what thinks when you see him." She didn't tell anyone till today and at the moment even though she got this small group of her friend's approval she was still concerned of what Quil would think. Justin on the other hand would probably enjoy her tiny uniform, showing more of her body then she often did walking through the halls on a regular school day.
She was trying to keep her thoughts about Quil out of her head but now Seth mentioning him made her smile. She found it hard to not think about the boy. Out of them both she probably had the dirtier thoughts but she would never let them slip past her lips. Whatever they had going was working well right away. "I don't need to be thinking about all this right now…" Catcher and Veronica's inquiries about Marissa stopping her from having to say anymore. She spun around quickly pointing out which girl on the field was Marissa. Her fiery red hair stood out well against the background."Marissa is the redhead, she can get a little fired up at times but she definitely had mentioned your name once. Something about how lucky I am to be friends with all the hot boys. I heard she has a bit of a reputation."The red haired girl was pretty so Tash could see how any boy would like her, she looked like this little doll. Compared to her Natasha felt so ain't with her long brown hair and dark eyes. "I'm sure she would like you just fine, I don't know what she sees in all you guys though. Quil is definitely the best looking of you all..."
She felt Seth arm pull on hers dragging her away from the group before she was even done speaking. She guess she was even more eager to get to the tryouts than she was for her first practice. He spoke up and it made turn her head back to look at the two on the bleachers." Catcher likes Veronica? Then why didn't he ask me about Marissa, to make her jealous? Good play on his end though." She didn't see anything going between them before but she hadn't been completely free of distractions herself lately. This would be a shock to the pack but it would be better than what happened to her and Quil. There would be less people in their business and less drama all together if they both just kept quiet about the whole thing. She saw the coach waving to her so she left Seth to go join up with the team, slightly still distant from the thoughts of practice from what Seth had just told him. She felt a hand on her arm and looked over at the person touching her and it was Marissa. She was snapping her back into focus.
"So did you tell the new boy I thought he was hot?" Natasha shook her head and began looking around at the other girls stretching and she began to do so herself even though she knew it wouldn't give her any benefit but it was good to look like she fit in with the others. She stretched her arms across her chest a few times before shaking them out and rolling her shoulders and bending her head side to side a few times. Marissa looked over at the bleachers seeing a dark haired Natasha knew was her cousin sitting close to Catcher and saw her lips touched his and then began to kiss. Her mouth hung open showing her bright white teeth in a look of shock and Natasha looked at the redhead awkwardly. "I told him but I guess my cousin had her own agenda."

”See Quil do things to impress you… who would ever want to watch that.” He fought back his laughs, biting his lip to stifle it, looking down to the floor to mute it. Obviously she would be the only person who wanted to see that little sweetheart of hers do everything to maintain their insufferable little bubble of fairytale PDA. And, She was fun to tease, a complete blow up would just show on her face someday if he ever managed to live that long and see her stop being so perfect. When Seth spoke up with brute honesty, he snapped up out of those thoughts and eyed him, switching sides knowing the younger boy was often polluted by their thoughts. ”You’re not but you don’t want to be like us.” The expression on Seth’s face made him shrug with an exaggerated innocent, eyelash batting gaze as he pointed at Veronica and himself. If Veronica really wanted to follow through, he wasn’t going to pass up on her suggestion; it didn’t even have to be at his house, he was game as much as she was. So much easier of a decision than doing the cheerleading tryout, they could have just left but they had plenty of time after the donuts.
Over days he had been paving the way towards her, yet it never felt like it could be open. He was slowly learning the barrier between them would always exist as long as her older cousin Embry disapproved; it seemed like betrayal if it was more than a glance he gave her when all the guys were around. If Embry had been less likeable and they didn’t get along so well, it wouldn’t have been so bad, he was getting caught up in some web of lies if he kept denying the truth. There were times he wanted to just demand a reason, recourse but in his heart, he knew what it was and since he hadn’t told Veronica anything, it was just as much wrong to her for them to be more. It was a dangerous thing to keep letting time and fate propel him to the ultimate end, whatever that was going to be. But, stealing away with her at every opportunity wasn’t something he could ever regret.
”Seth, maybe Quil’s just a gentleman.” He winked at him as though they should just play along with Natasha’s fantasy that Quil was an archetypal angelic soul. A part of him reveled the differences every one of his friends had; it made them unique and if Natasha liked that valorous trait in Quil, he would just point it out from time to time to help a brother out. Although, he contemplated before making the next statement; he also wanted to see if she’d be horrified by something that she had no idea about. ”...even if he punches our faces in to warn us not to think about her.” It had never happened to him but Quil was like a bull in a China shop rampaging clumsily no matter where he went the moment somebody mentioned something about Natasha that sounded like they were remotely interested. It was probably only a matter of time, he should have added 'yet' to the clause. Quil was quite the obsessed boyfriend; if she had even made it clear that was who he was to her. It was unbelievable the man hadn’t had a throw down with Justin, the single biggest threat to his relationship, but was asserting all the alpha dominance in his own crew. It was the most frustrating, humourous thing to watch. Waiting for her to show a trace of any sort of emotional response to this piece of information, he stared at Natasha’s eyes for a good long while from where he stood.
The structures of his thoughts were fragmented and uncharacteristic today and he sighed, scatterbrained and ineloquent. He looked at her with an eyebrow raised, chewing the sweet minty gum slowly as Veronica claimed he’d be a victim. Victim of what, he wanted to ask her but he looked over in the direction Natasha was pointing out a particular girl instead. Sun in his eyes, he squinted to see the red haired girl with a wide enlivening smile, head instinctively drawing back sharply in skeptical surprise. So she was Marissa, a cute spunky girl he had never actually stopped to pay attention to before. Often she was one surrounded by a gaggle of girls, all of whom blended together like some intimidating discomforting crowd; similar to the one Veronica was barricaded by half the time he wanted to talk to her in the corridor. It made him slightly awkward to see Marissa looking back at them with uncanny timing; ruminating as he partially frowned, rolling the gum to side of his inner cheek. He hadn’t thought things through when he asked who she was, artlessly going with the flow; she was only another girl, no one to overthink about. He smiled vaguely, quickly at Natasha as he shrugged sheepishly. It was strange to be talked about and he wasn’t sure if it was a good thing that there was some sort of conversation going on involving all the guys he befriended, who hovered around Natasha. ”I doubt she knows who I am…” Technically, it had been weeks since he arrived and by now he was one of those kids with the weird names that everyone remembered. He was kidding himself if his roguish behaviour around campus hadn’t made things more notorious than wholesomely being the new kid, the mysterious transfer student.
”And thanks...” He was shaking and nodding his head at the same time in a flurry of messy hair flouncing, brows furrowed at her as she proclaimed Quil’s amazing good looks as if everyone was blind. If he had more time, he would have feigned a sort of pain from her words but he was not that much of a jester in front of Natasha for some inexplicable reason. Everything and everyone else had been quite simple for him, starting fresh, befriending Seth and hitting it off instantly to the point the happy go lucky wolf boy was now his best friend. As a result of that, the inner circle of the wolf pack had been helpful to avoid the terrible initiating phase every foreign student would endure but who knew all their secrets would make his universe come together. If it hadn’t been for the fateful morning on the first day of school, he probably would still be some loner trying to avoid the limelight. He heard what Seth said as he walked away with Natasha, but he didn’t turn to respond.
It seemed unreal that she came forward, sprung up from her relaxing seat on the bleachers. But she moved like a leaf in the wind, light, feathery and breezed to a still in front of him. When she asked if that was all he wanted, just a kiss, he glazed over unable to convey that it was all he asked for but nothing close to all he wanted. His enlarged eyes closed as she brought his face to hers, her hands softly holding as she kissed him. It was one try and he was hooked, driving him mad with temptation as she tasted so good. For that moment, she had him under her influence like he couldn’t give her up. She had sparked some sort of gasoline induced drive to ignore everything he was honour bound to even if it gave him the worst reputation or backlash. He kissed her back, leaning in to press into her luscious lips like he could die for her. Then she withdrew with the shrill whistle and gave him a peck on the cheek, sitting back where she was primly, and his eyes followed her, processing. 'To be continued' was like gasping for the air he needed to breathe but this was scintillating to him, a sneak peak was all he needed to know he wanted to make her love him as much as he was attracted to her; she had given him all the signs since they met, swarming him in epiphany. Thus on this very day, he had made up his mind about Veronica.
He smiled to himself, drumming the railing once with a crescendo of his fingers before hopping off from where he was hanging. It was a smile that never left his face, wavering from a smug accomplishment to softly beaming as he found Seth again. Hardly noticing Seth was attempting to make small talk with a random boy, he went up to him at the bench, pausing before turning to go to Marissa instead. He saw the clipboard register of names and he was adamant on not filling that out; what extracurricular sport did he do anyway, currently none. In a twist of events he approached her with great care. There was no way he was going to partner with her with Veronica watching, and it was probably going to save her a lot of trouble if she didn’t want to either so he put up a hand as he walked over, the flimsiest of introductions. It was hard to erase the radiance on his face from the kiss but he asked the bubbly, brilliantly grinning red haired maiden for the favour of joining with Seth, unbeknownst to him. Blushing as he petitioned, it left Marissa no intermission to think as he both pleaded and thanked her in the same sentence, ultimately holding her hand with both of his in the ruse shortly before he rounded on Natasha who was nearby.
In a swift pace, he slung his arm around her and steered her away from Marissa enough so he felt relieved, huddling close so they could speak without her hearing, funnily secretive, not giving Natasha time to protest. As though he was reciting a plot, he gestured with one hand, holding on to her, not paying much mind to what she thought. ”So, we are gonna see him dance with a girl for the first time. If that worked... she should pair up with Seth…" That dance was nowhere near any intimate thing but he was going to be so proud, wondering if Seth would find the courage to finally stop blushing and sputtering at every mention of a girl named Soleil and just ask her out if he got through this with Marissa. "If the band could play his favourite song..." He mused further to set up Seth, looking to the blue sky, devious clockwork of his mind ticking; this only happened with that boy, a friend he wasn't ashamed to say he loved, Seth was the exception. "And, if I have to do this cheer thing, you’re gonna be my partner. You have permission to puppet me.” Him as a live marionette, that was something the pack would have enjoyed seeing. He was walking away with Natasha to the side so they could observe Marissa stroll over to a clueless Seth, occasionally looking back at him puzzled by his request. Seth was chatting with the now awestruck boy seated a place ahead of him in line and Catcher's eyes never looked at Natasha’s face, entertained as he whispered jauntily. ”Don’t worry; I won’t look up your skirt. Just so you know… that hurt, pawning me off to Marissa.”

As he tried to make a smile introduction, to this kid he had never seen before, the red headed girl he had come to know was Marissa. Getting up Seth smiled at Marissa as she approached him saying she would be his partner. He hadn't talked to the red head before seeing her about school with her posse. " Okay, I promise you I'm not like these other guys. I actually have some skills so maybe you can just teach me how the moves go and we can get these tryouts one with. I want to be part of the team but I'm starving. My friends and I have a date at dinner after this." He placed an arm on her shoulder and moved her over toward Catch and Tash. It didn't take long for the coach to begin to instruct everyone and pair up some other teams with some of the veterans. He went through the routine a few times before showing what he could learn over a half an hour but dancing isn't what he was there for. He was there to show off his 0flips and tumbling. It was a hidden talent that he didn't show much good coordination came work being a lycan. They were all faster and stronger than the humans at the school, there was no way the other boys would be able to do exactly what he could do.
It was just about time for him to impress, small drops of water began to fall from the sky cutting tryout short for everyone. It would be nicer for him just to be able to show off in front of the girls and his friends but the eminte rainfall made the coach call a rain check. Seth thanked Marissa for all of her help, with a kiss on her cheek. Though she was kind of loud Seth did find her sort of sweet. He ran over to the bleachers to grab his backpack waving Catch and Tash to follow.Hopping up onto the beaches he picked up his backpack, and tapped Veronica on the shoulder."Did you drive today? If it's raining we will need a ride to get something to eat. I don't know about you but I'm starving V, I don't feel as if I can last another hour without putting something in my gut. ." Seth didn't care how they went to the diner for donuts; they weren't the only thing he wanted; he was ready for a real meal, maybe a large pizza or a few burgers; the options were endless as long as they stayed under thirty dollars. He didn't understand how his parents could afford to feed him. At times his parents must have made good enough money to keep the fridge constantly stocked.
Fling his bag over his he hoped down the few steps gracefully dancing a few steps of what Marrisa just taught him. "So what do you think these moves are going to get me somewhere with the team and what about this guy I know he has some moves but you think he could compete with me?" Seth slapped Catcher on the back and laughed. Dancing around with a little hip thrusting and gyrating he tried to make the others laugh along with him. A little rain never put a damper on Seth's mood. If anything he enjoyed when it rained, it was as if air got fresher and he knew Tash didn't like it much and he always found it funny when she fuzzed over keeping her hair and makeup neat. " Should we get moving before Tash's face melts off." He could see it now black mascara running down her face making her look more like a member of a kiss than a high school student. The tiny spattering of rain began to change and the drops began to grow and started to hit the ground more rhythmically. Grabbing Tash's hand he dragged her towards the school parking lot. "We better get moving, if it rains Andy harder I'm going to start calling you Gene."
