Donna was never one to be overwhelmed, you smell one dog you've smelt them all. As the wolves continued to congregate around Xion Donna couldn't help but notice how tense Catchers date was. It was the first time she'd ever met the young woman, and, as always, a wolf and vamp mixer isn't common in La Push. Donna could feel her tenseness. She was also taking time to listen to Catcher, he was a good kid and he obviously adored Xion. Despite being terribly intimidated by Donna, Catcher still managed to speak directly to her, "Lucky you, she's beautiful." Donna said truthfully. Natasha was a very simple, but elegant enough looking young person. She laughed when Xion told him to be careful due to Jacob, "Jacob is a kitten, Xion, but I'm sure he's very protective of you. It's a pleasure to meet you, Natasha...Tash." She said joshing with Xion and then turning towards Natasha who had finally made her way over to Donna.
The day that Donna signed over her Nissan to the wolves still lives in infamy and Donna, of course, was going to have to explain herself, "Hah! That day was certainly one for the record books. Everyone ended up wearing some article of my clothing. While I'm not petite, I'm still not a muscular above average twenty something...They managed. Besides once the paperwork was signed after I gave them my car they all piled into it and drove off...cept for Xion, Sam, and Quil who just went on their merry way wagging their tails into the La Push reservation. It was like a giant circus car complete with barking dogs and clowns." She snickered, "But from what I understand they definitely took care of my car and I think your brother even managed to soup it up. It was the blue Nissan. After that I had a purple bugatti and got bored with that and then finally landed with my black Ferrari. I'm sorry I must be boring you with all of this car talk." Donna was prattling on about the car and the cliff and the wolves to Natasha exclusively. Xion and Catcher were there, they didn't need to rehash how Donna took Sam down and almost had to fight Quil, "I appreciate you treating with the respect they show me and I show the same to you. I know it's uncommon to see Wolves and Vamps socializing, but...I've had most of my shots." She said with a smile, her purple eyes beginning to look Natasha up and down.
Donna was too busy explaining herself to the female wolf, she completely didn't see any of what was going on between Xion and Catcher, but as she turned to face Xion she heard him mention that Catcher was like a brother to him. Donna nodded and turned her attention back to Catcher and Xion. It seemed that Natasha also turned her attention to Catcher and Xion as well. When it seemed that Catcher was trying to say how good Donna and Xion were together, she couldn't help but chuckle, "Oh please! Absolutely not. Xion and I are actually very good friends. We're just exceedingly good at teasing each other." Donna said ribbing Xion.
When it came to the dress Natasha was wearing and how Xion was trying to label it correctly, Donna thought it best to keep her ruby lips closed. The last thing she'd want to to do is insult the young girl who, while looking very becoming in her blue dress, was still rather plain. She let the two wolves have their kiki about clothing while she swished the punch in her cup, which had been sitting in her hands since she got to the gymnasium. She was quickly brought back to reality as Seth stumbled into the crew and got closer than any wolf has gotten to a vamp without barring teeth. Donna was taken aback, but she took it in her stride, "It's good to see you too, handsome...Nice crown. Very you." She said rubbing her gloved hand over Seth's face like an owner would pet their faithful pup.
Donna looked up at Xion who was, ever since Seth showed up, fumbling for a cohesive thought. Donna's eyes widened as she immediately put two and two together. Oh Dear... She thought to herself in near disbelief. She was doing her best to keep her composure and not make Xion's attraction to Seth so glaringly obvious, but not before Xion put his own foot in it, "Idiot..." She thought when Xion mentioned Seth's hair instead of paying him a better compliment.
This was embarrassing, Catcher was drunk on life, Natasha was ill at ease, Seth was drunk, period, and Xion was trying to flirt and failing spectacularly. Donna then quickly felt her drink be ripped from her hand. She watched as Xion downed it in one gulp. She held her head with the hand her drink was originally in. She couldn't help but chuckle. There was nothing she could do. Xion was already making a fool of himself, but maybe Seth would be drunk enough not to realize. What about Natasha or Catcher...did they notice?
"The damned fool..." She said under her breath. Catcher and Seth were playing silly boy games with each other and Xion was trying to get Seth to follow him to the vending machine, Donna was growing impatient, "Catcher, Natasha, let's leave those two to do their thing, while we go and have a talk...somewhere, won't that be fun? Don't worry about Seth, Xion will make sure to take care of him." Donna bit her finger as she uttered another entendre.
"Smooth, Xi...real smooth." Donna thought escorting the young wolves to a different part of the gymnasium with chairs and a table.

Things moved so quickly Seth almost did know what doing at the moment. He was being lead of by Xion in the opposite direction of his friends. “Protein? You think they have some beef Jerky?” Seth could hardly walk in a straight line so he place his hand on Xion's elbow to stay grounded. He let eyes dart around the hall looking at students making gout ash he walked by. Wasn't there a teacher or shaperone here to keep them under control. So far there hasn't been anyone even stopping the drinks from flowing. Maybe they thought they were grown-up enough to handle themselves.
“ Did you know Jake dared me to eat sixteen packs of beef jerky in one sitting? I finished then I puked all over his floor.” Seth cackled as the memory came flooding back. I had been one he and Jake shared before they both became shapshifter. Now at days Seth could get enough to eat. Lazily, he kept walking down the corridor till he saw the familiar metal boxes the had spend a good of his allowance fortune at over the years.
“This one,” Seth slammed his palm into the front glass making a little crack run from is place of impact to the top right corner and making is tiara almost fall from his head."oops" He went to go adjust it to sit properly but her really didn't want it any more. He pulled it off and passed it to Xion. “ you want it? I’m sure you can wear it better then me. Just look at bone structure.” Seth turned is attention back to the vending machine. “I wished the had ketchup chips. Why does Canada have them and I don’t.”

Xion, reluctantly, was able to get Seth to follow him, while Donna took care of Catcher and Natasha. "I owe her...big time." Xion thought to himself as Seth rested himself on Xions arm. Xion was trying to be diplomatic through this whole process. He didn't want Seth to be oblivious to Xion's feelings. He just assumed that he'd be able to meet Seth, ask him out and the two would live happily ever after. That's how it was supposed to work, but why would anything be easy in Xions world. He propped Seth up and was very gentle not to harm or be too rough, "I'm sure they have plenty of beef jerky." Xion said as he continued to practically carry his inebriated crush, "How much have you had to dri-" Xion tried to ask how much alcohol Seth had imbibed, but was cut off by Seths continued drunken rantings. This was ridiculous. He was supposed to be making out with Seth right about now, not holding his crown while he blows chunks in the boys bathroom. Xion was immediately having second thoughts about this, but he didn't want to disappoint Donna, especially since she immediately figured out it was Seth who was the object of Xion's desires. "I just hope she won't make a scene." He thought to himself.
For a school that had such interesting kids in it, it seemed that Donna and Xion were the only two "adults" chaperoning the place. Which made, Xion trying to sober up Seth all the more uncomfortable for him. He knew that Seth was already into his 20's and Xion was nearing 30, but the idea of taking care of someone younger than you while they're drunkenly bouncing around in a high school certainly puts things into perspective, "Jake needs to be careful with who he dares to do things." He tried to joke with Seth and even Xion didn't believe the words coming out of his mouth. He still continued, "I know you're still growing into your appetite, but you should be a little bit more careful." Xion said not fully grasping that he's trying to reason with someone so totally plastered. Xion tried to ask again, "How much have you had to drink?" but Seth was fixated on the now cracked vending machine. Fortunately there was another vending machine directly next to the snack machine. So Xion did what he knew he should. Xion got bottles of water for Seth, and the rest of the crew, but mostly Seth, and whatever snacks Seth wanted. As Seth's crown almost fell off completely he offered it to Xion, Xion blushed...hard, "Uhm...it looks better on you...you wear it." He said softly.
Xion was trying to figure out what his next move was. Does he ask Seth out and risk Seth not remembering, does he just grab Seth and start making out in the hallway of this high school, or does he continue to try and be logical, "Seth forget the ketchup chips. Here's some..." He rips the label off the large water bottle to try and get Seth to sober up some, "Vodka...it's good for you...it'll make your bones nice and strong...like mine!" Xion said almost trying to impersonate Gaston. "What the hell am I doing!?" Xion thought to himself. He looked Seth up and down and bit his lower lip. It was now or never, "Uhm...Seth..." Xion took in a deep breath, "I'dReallyLikeItIfWeCouldGoOutSometimeAndSeeWhereThingsGoIThinkYou'reReallyReallyCuteAndI'VeBeenFeelingThisWayForALongTimeAndIhopeYouFeelTheSameWay." Xion caught his breath...and then cleared his throat, "So...uhm...would you like...be down for that?" He said nearly wanting to collapse after telling Seth how he felt and that he wanted to date him. Xion was sweating and his heart was once again beating out of his chest.

”I hadn’t thought about Jake…”When Xion had brought up the fact he was hanging out with a member of the Black family at a dance, he took it with sheepishly, being teased. He never got teased. So this is what it feels like… The world had been spinning too fast for him and Seth and he forgot about Jake; he already had Embry on his mind then took on Quil from Natasha’s breakup issues and he had maxed out. He said his words with a slow surprise that indicated to Xion he was on point; somewhat conscious-stricken. Immediately, Donna threw in her two cents and it was the best thing he’d heard all night; he would never look at Jake the same again. How could someone be so in the know about his friend without ever being nearby… Catcher chuckled bashfully after her comment, tilting his head downwards but not really seeing the floor as he was processing what she said about Jacob; he was in solid agreement although he liked the guy the way he was. It was mainly because of the outbursts… Nothing was the way it used to be between Jacob and himself. His relationship with Ellie was a sitcom parody of Jake and Bella and his pupils flickered with impatience at how he let himself be that way; he had learnt nothing from Jacob’s fiasco.
Amazed at Donna and her compliment, his admiration for her grew but it was no longer solely for her surface. He had discovered her charisma in the instant she handled meeting Natasha, giving him a glimpse of her authentic personality. For a vampire, she had a kinder soul than he expected and he smiled heartwarmingly at her, understanding she was opening up first and bonding with Natasha. He wondered if she could be the support he couldn’t be for Natasha, a strong maternal figure she lacked. A sharper mind regarding boys, she’d be able to offer much better advice or at least help the girl see an outlet; he was barely hanging on keeping her from crying or seeing Quil in every thing. Donna seemed to have a way of commanding a conversation and that would help Natasha get over thinking about Quil all day and night. Silently grateful, he was finally able to meet her eye-line without the adolescent insecurity that was shallow attraction. That time after messing around with the car, Seth could hear his thoughts and she had always replayed in his head like a panoramic hair commercial, able to sell him anything but his eyes were open from now on… she was more than a sight for sore eyes… She was someone of great value. He wasn’t the only one who thought she was the belle of the ball, then or now but at least this helped him be less moronic. All these humans were beside themselves trying subliminally to be with her or become her; she was female goals and she was a real vamp.
”They haven’t crowned anyone yet. I stole it...“ Gesturing to Seth with a swing of his arm, he had calmly watched Xion go through the motions of nervousness never having seen him behave in any way similar before. Rather blasé about the stunt, he was beginning to look forward to the ceremonial announcements because it wouldn't be going according to plan. He'd been waiting to get kicked out but the reception was quite the opposite; these people just needed something shiny and new. For the time being, Donna had replaced him as the sultry newcomer. Figuring the teachers here weren't too bothered because it was later into the night and they just wanted to leave or drink moderately too, he remembered there was no security in the building and no way for them to enforce order even when kids were confronted. But mostly, this was a safe district and the teenagers weren't too rambunctious; most never even traveled. They were quite pure, no nightlife and their parents went to the same school. Hell, many of the teachers graduated from the school... If you became the talk of the town, talk of the school... it was for generations. ”I asked him to dance earlier, I might have a better chance now that he feels pretty.” He picked up on something regarding Seth but smirked and said nothing further than that offhanded, truthful remark to watch it play out; he had no qualms but couldn’t really place a finger on what Xion was fidgeting about. Two more pure drinks and he might be where Seth was with no inhibitions; that wasn’t helping. All he could see as they walked away was Xion being their caretaker again and he sighed hoping Xion would get to be irresponsible instead of constantly solving their problems. The Hercules and his Aphrodite of a date made an impression like fifth avenue diamonds and they were now chaperoning wolf children; what a turn of events.
Catcher liked what Xion did to his hair, having looked upwards being poked in the eyes as the strands were ruffled by Xion’s hand. He was unable to really see what had changed but it felt smoother and classic as he touched it with a curious pat; Xion had a way with styling it and now he felt old school chic while Xion looked like a gentleman bringing glamour back… keeping it real…at a prom. Not burning the liquor off fast enough, he was sporadic; intermittently thinking of things. He had let it all go over his head thinking about when Donna said ‘take care of him’ and ushered him with Natasha to a clean seating area. He almost couldn’t handle it when she added that phrase; his gutter brain went full throttle already when Xion stuttered about eating and protein, very nearly killing him. If he was to pass away from that then he would’ve missed out on being accompanied by Donna and Natasha across the sidelines to where they were now seated and he smiled to himself, possessive of the experience... Living the American Dream.
"We actually haven't talked much yet..." Referring to Natasha, Seth and himself, he revealed to Donna. "I just showed up in La Push out of nowhere…”Careful that depressant in your system is going to put you down so low you can’t deal right here...”Have you been in Forks? Seth's been fixing up cars... his car. Your old Nissan is probably doing well… " Catcher was stringing random thoughts together unsure of what to ask Donna because every question was leaving him dumbstruck; he'd never let them escape him if he couldn't even answer them. The whole car thing had stuck because he liked cars and he was confused she’d pay cars any mind at all; 'he didn’t peg her for mechanical'. Simultaneously, he was still attempting to contain an explosion of hysterics every time his mind wandered back to Seth and Xion. ”You think Xion’s going to be ok? Seth will empty that vending machine.” He said with absolute certainty and tried not to imagine the brawniest man he’d ever seen trying to be dainty with a plastic machine. Mulling over things, Seth was afraid of how much Catcher would kiss him in public and he definitely recognized some signs earlier that reminded him of how he’d be when he was unconfident around certain girls. When was he ever not confident around girls…? What. Then all the students around him had diverted his attention. One more thing he had to cancel like noise and he wiped his face, smearing the shimmering glitter, still present, down so it looked like he had cried unicorn tears. ”I’m sorry, you dressed up for this.” Apologising, he felt like Donna deserved better but he was all expired of party nonsense until he recovered from frying his brain; he was ignorant to the puppy dog eyes he made at her in earnest conviction. He really didn’t need to be even more puppy like but to anyone else, it came across entirely different so he wasn’t hopeless. It felt like he had been quiet for a millennia and he was definitely losing brain cells and grey matter, waiting for his brothers.
He looked at Natasha and considered for a second to leave her with Donna so they could become better acquainted in private but ended up only shifting himself in the chair, knowing that was the wrong move.

Seth really didn’t have much to drink at all, he guesses skipping dinner and maybe three or four glasses. He wasn’t a big drinker so whether did drink it hit him hard and fast. It was also maybe it was a special blend of whatever was put in id glass made him feel intoxicated It usually burned off as quickly. Seth shrugged off the offer he gave Xion for the crown. He didn’t really care at something he just give it to whomever one the prize. It better be someone he knew or they might get upset he had taken the shiny prize hostage.
Getting offered something “Vodka..? “Seth wasn’t sure if he really needed anything to drink but he grabbed bottle from Xion and quickly drank it down. It didn't burn going down. It was just water, Seth didn’t really care it would knock down his buzz a bit. He was fooling around to much anyway bringing to much attention on himself. He had originally go there to watch the drama not be the biggest cause of it.
He crush the bottle between his hand and aim for the trash. He of course missed. “A little to the le…” he was cut of by what sounded like Xion asking him out. He just sat at looked at Xion for a moment trying to process ever word because it all just seems to spill out of him at once. “Umm…uh..” he hadn’t really though about going out with anyone no one ever shown much interest in him ever since his first girlfriend disappeared. It caught his off guard.
“ Fuck why not we only got one life right might as well enjoy it.” He didn’t know if it was the alcohol that gave him the confidence or it was just the magical atmosphere of prom. Whatever, he wanted be happy. He had never really told anyone that gender really meant nothing to him he often like whom ever he felt some sort of connection with. It was not all about looks, it was a deeper connection Seth aways wanted to have. Maybe with Xion he could find this.
“How about we have some fun for tonight and see how things go. You could steal me for a dance or two." Seth chucked and leaned on Xion shoulder and liked arms with him. Seth just didn't want his friends to treat him any different. There was a stigma in the pack that he have to face. At this point Seth didn't care. It just rather try to be happy if it included his friends or not.
Seth just hoped peoples options of him would ever change. he had never changed, that is why he still acted like immaturity would get the best of him sometimes. He knew how judgmental people could be, he didn't want thingsitching to become awkward.
Just replying to Xion seemed to sober him up a bit. He hoped he was making the right choice. He tried to think about a place far enough way they could be themselves "Maybe next week we could plan something more? High school proms are fun but I think I'm getting a little too old showing up for these things."

The evening and certainly took a turn from were it began. Seth was drunk, it wasn’t a side she saw from him to often, Catcher too seemed to be feeling something. One of them had to be responsible enough everyone would make it home safe. She didn’t mind she often felt a mothering part if herself wanting take care of those who needed her. She took the complement lightly not responding to being told her looked nice or was beautiful. She never cared much about how she looked. What she loved hearing about when the boys were to big for britches. All ending up in clothing that was way out of there normal attire. It must have been before she had join them. They boys were often too irrational She didn’t want to be rude to Donna as he went on about cars. Tash had no interest in vehicles besides having them working well enough to get you where you need to be. She shook her head. “No its fine, he didnt actually, never let me drive it. Treated it like is was his girlfriend or something precious.” She smiled slightly letting go of her balled of fist full of fabric. She stood there awaking watching as Seth hug Donna. Nervousness took over for a send ready to defend Seth if need, Donna was poised and treated Seth accordingly. Tash could only wish she could be more like Seth when it came to being friendly to and accepting to everyone. He was just very carefree she like that about him. Xion led him off and Tash let her eyes fallow for a second hopefully Seth would sober up soon.
Sitting across the table from a vampire wasn't what Natasha would think the night would turn into. She never thought one would be confident enough to come walking to a building possibly riddled with them. Donna had confidence in which Tash one day which she could achieve.
Her eyes fell onto Cather’s face not really noticing all the bits and fakes if glitter that had clung to his face. It made her smirk a litte, allowing her guard to come down slightly but feeling as though she might be on the edge of tipping the scale either way. “You look like a vampire in the sunlight.” She reached to touch is face but pulled her hand away just as fast. Glitter aways got everywhere so left it there for now. “Just leave it, it sort of suites you.” She smile at him, and took hold of his forearm. Holding on rather tightly. She didn’t want him to go anywhere. She still felt a uneasiness still in the bit of her stomach. Trying to make lite of situation but would make small talk. “What makes you come tonight, were you wanting to relive like past?” Tash was not sure what she meant by that besides possibly having some fun by utterly destroying the packs confidence . “ Pester Jake, piss off Embry, just leave Quil alone.” Her eyes fell to the table as she spoke but Tash left the topic just as quickly as she brought it up. “How did Xion get you to come here tonight

”That… is a very good question…”He emphasized his words and suddenly wished he had the bragging rights of picking up someone like Donna if there was ever another like her but he could’ve never so in the back of his mind he had been wondering what Xion did or said to persuade her. He seemed to be the most shocked of everyone that she had ventured into wolf country for Xion but he knew they were good friends; he still couldn’t wrap his head around why Xion would ask her when this was not even close to her scene. Xion didn’t need a date; there were people who would ask him or accompany him, a lot of girls who had no gaydar or just thought he was a piece of hunky manmeat. Which, he was sort of… Bottom line, he had a lot of options who were going to be easier to convince. Catcher looked at Donna titillated by the possible insider knowledge he’d unearth about Xion while also knowing she would never fall for his games and reveal a single detail. it wasn’t just for research purposes, he hadn’t seen or heard anything about Xion all this time so it was natural to be curious. She might play a long though…There was definitely a catch or secret between them and he suddenly felt like a super busybody. Blame it on the alcohol.
Leaning over to rest his elbow on the small table between them, he felt Natasha hold onto his other arm in a bid to keep him there and he understood it until he would forget. He had seen her reach a hand then withdraw from his face out of the corner of his eye as he hoped Donna would generously explain and figured out she didn’t want to end up covered like he was. ”Oh, I wasn’t gonna share with you…” Grinning, he suddenly wondered if it was true all Vampires would glow and shimmer in the sunlight or if it was just some myth he heard from Forks High school. Why were there accounts they burn into nothingness too... had they evolved or mutated…”Isn’t that why Bella likes Edward… I might need to wear glitter in the daytime now. Maybe try out a new life at Forks…” That was never happening but it was fun to sound convinced, worrying Natasha because he knew she was a proper wolf and would jump at his throat about choosing to be with vampires.”Donna does that mean all vampires are just cheating because you all have a walking glitter filter?” If she had been a teenager vampire girl, he’d probably have received an appalled response but she wasn’t and sparkling or no sparkling, she was a tall drink of fine wine. Wow was he really thirsty? Sometimes he scared himself.
”I do want to relive the past, but I never did anything like this in the past so…” He tried to answer her earlier question before he could be all ears to find why Xion was here with her, and how she came to agree to this. Catcher looked down at the table and his hands, starting to fiddle with a ring on his finger, rotating it in a consistent fidget; glancing from Natasha to Donna, he quietly mentioned without background. ”Embry’s been pissed at me for years. Jake’s the same… probably more with you next to me… if he hears about tonight, same thing…” He stopped and smirked with a ‘hah’ at Natasha and folded his arms, hunching more at the desk and intensely judging her like she was a little sister. Often, he was the source of misunderstandings and he couldn’t resist being an ass, just a righteous one in this case. He couldn’t stand that being intoxicated was swinging his mood hard and making him all brooding again; he was as frustrated as Seth had been about Natasha before they began dancing and singing and it was all because of Quil. At this point he might punch him if he showed because the situation couldn’t get worse.
Maybe he was setting himself for failure but he lowered his voice and deliberately used a tender tone to get what he wanted to say across to her, not trying to push her away; she could be reasoned with and he wasn’t trying to be impolite. He had done so many obvious things to get her jolly and he was really the least happy person in La Push; tonight changed that but he was still not qualified to be her emotional support when he was liking her all over again getting to know her anew.”Wrong, the only one who won’t leave Quil alone is you…” Pointing at Donna and himself, he was really making more of a big giant circle with his finger and motioning about the whole damn place. ”None of us… are still in love with him… even when they can have anyone they want in this room.” That last part was direct; it was referencing Natasha as the only person who couldn’t take her pick and let her heart stay locked with Quil’s. His tenses sounded messed up and he finished talking with his eyes expressing shock at himself; he moved her hand off his arm and clasped it with both like they were in prayer. Blurting everything was precisely not his character but he did bless her heart. ”I’m just saying… you can do better. You can be happy. Nobody’s going to do anything to Quil.” Hanging his head for a moment, he pulled himself away to stand up, conflicting his decision to stay earlier since he totally forgot now that he opened Pandora’s box; very… smooth.” I think Donna will tell you the same thing; she would probably say something alot smarter than me…”
Instant regret made him return to his habit of escaping again; he could never fix things with girls the way they wanted. He didn’t even know what they want… they just want him not know what he wanted. Oh, I should just be like Seth. All that he had stated to her was only heard in their bubble and he shut his eyes quickly, thinking harder than he ever had to before, speaking to himself. Obviously he didn’t know what he was doing anymore and there was no advantage pretending.
“I am… getting wasted…”Going, to go get wasted…Catcher’s senses peaked when he said that under his breath, concluding it was best to drown himself and he put his hands on the back of his chair, tilting it backwards on its back legs before scooting it closer to the table. Everything was numbing to touch and seemed heavier but lighter at the same time. He plastered an unsure smile, dreading that he would be chastised for his unrefined behaviour; he’d never been more of a plebian than then revealing Natasha’s personal relationship problems to her acquaintance. He trusted Donna wouldn’t bite his head off because he really thought everyone could sense all the tension surrounding them and Seth; he was not good at faking anything so it was about time it burst. He couldn't fully comprehend things being so hard to talk about because he could talk about Veronica. No one wanted to know though but he knew he would be able to... that's what his ego said; his amour propre... yes, proper love; Veronica. Like a slinky, he suddenly remembered he was still waiting to know why Xion came, and with Donna, making up a simple answer for himself.it was probably just for fun… guy needs some fun. I should make him have some fun.
Masquerading as a man with a reason, he addressed the two ladies in the fashion of a waiter being of service; he couldn’t just go and come back with something for himself. Facts, he almost did… then saved himself. Wouldn’t he normally just pick something for them anyway… since when does he ask… since Donna, he asks… Now he needed three hands.”What can I get for you, ladies? If, you'd like anything that is.”

Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into more minutes, more minutes turned into even more minutes. The time that passed between Seth missing the garbage pail and Xion spilling his proverbial guts out felt like it was an entire day. Xion was always very emotional and he wore his feelings on his sleeve everyday. So when the opportunity came to ask a person out, especially one Xion was very taken with, it definitely meant something. Xion could hear his heart pounding in his chest and he was certain Seth was able to hear it too. It wasn't that Xion was afraid of being rejected, he just didn't want to have another wolf possibly turn on him for not only being gay, but also a member of the "pack." That was Xion's biggest fear. He didn't want to be ostracized by a tribe he was already othered from. It was hard enough carrying that rainbow flag with pride while also maintaining the pride of the pack. Xion was just a bundle of nerves and emotions as He watched Seth sit down on the floor and contemplate everything Xion just unloaded onto him. This would be Xion's first real relationship if it went as far as Xion would like for it to go. He's had numerous partners, but they were casual flings, men on the Down-Lo, married men looking for a quick release...nothing of substance. If things went right with Seth it would give Xion a new lease of life. He'd be very devoted and courteous, but he'd also have to curtail some of his more aggressive tendencies like jealousy, and possessiveness, and over-caring. He'd known Seth long enough to know what he does and doesn't like in a partner. Xion wasn't about to change who he was for the sake of a relationship, but he's be willing to compormise.
While all of these thoughts bubbled and collided in Xion's head, he completely forgot that Seth was about to answer his query. Xion shook his head momentarily as Seth answered rather brazenly that he'd be interested in seeing what happens. In his mind, Xion was running laps and doing cartwheels. It took all of his power not to lift Seth off the ground and kiss him. Xion was doing his best to be as reserved as possible, but his happiness was very apparent, "You mean it? No pressure, whatever you're down for, I am." Xion said holding his head and blushing hard. Xion let Seth finish his thoughts before smiling broadly. It was actually happening. He had an honest to goodness date, with Seth Clearwater, a member of his tribe. Xion was over the moon, "I don't know...I might try to steal more than a dance or two." He said finding his confidence. Seth leaned against Xion and he immediately turned into a puddle. He then put his arm around Seth shoulder.
"I'd like that very much. We could go to the space needle and have dinner there?" Xion said trying to look into Seth's eyes. He held Seth close, but suddenly realized that it was the prom and that he didn't want people to see him and Seth together especially since Seth wasn't out and Xion didn't know how uncomfortable Seth was with public displays of affection. Xion slowly lifted his arm off of Seth's shoulders, while he did that Seth linked his arm with Xion's. Xion was a puddle.
"How do you think I feel?" Xion chuckled, the euphoria passed and he remembered he had to worry about Donna and Natasha. He gasped softly, "Uhm...Do you want to go back to see if Natasha and Donna...and Catcher are behaving?" Xion said with an awkward smile. He knew that if he wasn't there to barrier Donna and Natasha there'd possibly be another fight. He also wanted Seth to control Catcher, especially if Catcher was going to keep drinking, "My hope is that Donna and Natasha are civil...and Catcher remains...sober." He finished with a soft chuckle.

Seeing Xion off with Seth and moving Catcher and Natasha to a table wasn't the task that Donna had imagined it would be. In fact it was pretty easy. Of course Donna noticed how many people were looking at her and sneering. She was surprised she wasn't ripped to shreds when she entered the building, but the night was still young. She ignored the scent of dogs and she ignored the obvious looks she was getting. She was here as a friend to Xion and nothing more. Catcher and Seth were fun, but she wasn't as close to them as she was to Xion, "He better tell me some DIRT when this is all over." Donna thought to herself as the three all sat down at a table with a few chairs. The gymnasium became a remarkably chaperone-less affair as the hour continued to grow late, but there were still some adult students who were maintaining the making out and heavy petting. The last thing that Donna wanted to see was a litter being created at the La Push High School prom. Donna was a very seductive and slinky amazon of a woman, but she was still respectable and appropriate if the time called for it, "Are all parties this...loose?" She asked the two younger pups.
She couldn't help but notices how giddy Catcher had gotten in reference to his near giggle fest while Donna and Xion were discussing the matter that was Seth and his inebriated self. She didn't want to mention anything that might alert or alarm Catcher or Natasha, "Lord only knows how they'll react to Seth and Xion potentially becoming an item...and I knew about that, before them." She thought as Catcher was going on about his relationship with Natasha...and how him, Seth, and Natasha all showed up randomly. It was all one continual thought and he didn't come up for air as he trailed off. Donna didn't want to ask if he was ok as that might trigger Natasha to ask if Donna was going to kill Catcher given his weakened state.
The tenseness could be cut with a knife. Catcher was in his own world, Natasha was holding onto him for dear life and Donna was left to fend for herself, but watching Natasha and Catcher prepare to bicker was definitely something she was eager to enjoy...until Catcher made a colossal ass of himself. Donna smiled unsure of where to really go from here, but she was determined to make the most of it. She turned her focus to Natasha, "Natasha, to answer your questions as succinctly as possible, No, I do not want to relive that day. Frankly, I'm sure Sam, Embry, and....Quil would rake you four across the coals for allowing me to be here. Which brings me to the why. Xion had asked and I obliged. Matter of fact he asked me with a corsage and a card...with Dracula on it." Donna said shaking her head, "He's always one for jokes." She said smiling.
"I don't think discussing matters about Quil or Embry or Sam is a wise thing to do especially when they're not here. And...let's not worry about glitter or vampires that also are not here..." Donna fired at Catcher to essentially make it clear that what he was doing was not helping anyone. Especially because when you mention someone they have the terrible knack of just appearing and the vamps and alpha wolves were the last people Donna wanted to see tonight, "I dress up regardless, doesn't really matter the event...how often do these things happen in La Push...or Forks for that matter?" Donna asked trying to maneuver through the conversation and not say or ask the wrong thing.
Catcher continued making a fool of himself and this time was aiming directly for Natasha and her relationship with Quil, "Catcher...you look much more intelligent-" Donna cut herself off. Rather than insult Catcher and Natasha at the same time, she thought quickly and concisely, "With a drink in your hand. Why don't you get us some punch?" She purred. Donna arched her eyebrows and again turned her focus to Natasha, "I know you're uncomfortable with my being here, but if I wanted to hurt or harm anyone...I would've already. I'm here because of Xion. If you don't want me here, just tell me. I'll most likely ignore you, but I won't stop you from telling me how you feel." Donna said being sweet, and honest.
"Catcher...as soon as we have a second alone I'm going to slap you." Donna thought as Catcher continued to parade around and act up, "Xion I hope you're in better spirits than you were earlier tonight...You're going to definitely have your hands full..." She concluded her thoughts and continued with the conversation.
"So...Jake and Seth never let you drive the nissan, huh? We can fix that." Donna said as she crossed her legs and folded her hands in her lap.

Veronica was where everything started started for her million lifetime ago. Not million lifetime ago but rather couple of years. Past couple of years has been nothing but brutal for her; she went on rampage finding where Axel went and refused to accepted that he disappeared out of nowhere and left her behind.
One minute she and Axel were in their own bubble and the next it was a nightmare waiting to happened. Veronica didn’t want to talk to anyone as they had their own issues that needed to be worked on and last thing she wanted was her issue being dumped on them. Just like Axel, she disappeared; looking for him in every state, country, and continent.
Veronica made a decision to come back to La Push where she hopes to find more answers about Axel and maybe, just maybe figure out what she will do next. Its been couple of days since she moved back and managed to keep herself on down low, she wasn’t ready to talk to anyone. She heard girls discussing what they’re going to wear prom, how hair and makeup will look like, their future plans. Veronica was against the whole idea of prom and how it’s the last hurrah of high school life.
Maybe prom isn’t last hurrah. It might be my new beginning. Veronica was trying to stay positive and forcing herself to go out and have fun. In the past, she wouldn’t let anyone come in middle of her and any events that were happening but a guy, the guy, came into her life and turned it upside down. Things do happen for a reason, what reason no one knows. Before she changes her mind, she went to the closet pulled out red plunging v-neck tulle long dress that she thought she would wear to prom with Axel. Shaking her head, she took off her sweats, slipped into dress, did light make up, curled her brown hair and looked herself in the mirror. I never knew how much time it takes to get ready. Or the power of makeup. Veronica slipped her feet into black peep stiletto and did one lady look in the mirror. Well…it’s too late to back out now. Veronica grabbed her keys and drove to La Push High.
Pulling into parking lot, Veronica looked at the school and all the memories flooded back. The good. The bad. And heartaches. She got the strength to drive but needs something extra strong to go inside. Veronica got out of her car, opened her trunk and pulled out two small tequila bottles. She chugged both the bottles, slammed her trunk closed, locked her car and made her way towards gymnasium. She entered gymnasium and was greeted with music, some dancing, some sitting and laughing and some in their own world. This was something she wanted to enjoy with her Natasha, Quil, Embry, Seth, Jake, Axel and…catcher? But here she was, standing like an outsider, regretting coming.
She heard couple familiar voices through loud music. Tash? Catcher? And who’s the third one? Where are the rest if those two are here? It felt like it was yesterday when she and Catcher met for the first time and she thought he was this crazy guy who’s loyal and she had a thing for him. What are they doing here? She didn’t look back when she left. Her mom had left her when she got married, she didn’t want to be burden on her cousin and the pack so she did was she thought was right…leave.
Not sure what came over her, anger maybe, she found herself walking towards Catcher. Heartache she had years ago, she finally had this chance to confront him. Veronica reached table where Catcher was at and slapped him across his face. She didn’t care if it was in front of people nor she cared about consequences.

It was such a shame he couldn’t hear a vampire’s thoughts. Can they hear each other’s thoughts like we do? He seemed to be finding a lot of questions about Vampires now that he had the chance to ask Donna but it he always came up with queries at the wrong place and wrong time; this was not the exception. He might just have to find a library in Forks that might have strange accounts or even better, meet an equally curious Vampire. Forge an unlikely alliance… Upon seeing a faintly repulsed expression that had been evanescent on Donna’s face, he looked around and finally noticed the snogging pairs clustered in dark corners; it was not the most attractive thing he’d ever seen to put things lightly. It was grossly entrancing though as he couldn’t figure out why no one had control over their hormones. He squinted, equally repelled but taking it as more normal than if it didn’t happen at all; that wouldn’t be a late night party anymore. He was being a hypocrite about public displays of affection considering he always interacted with Seth in ways that confused people; it was just affectionate platonic touching and he would never change that. If he could’ve seen Xion try not to even put his arm around Seth, he would have shown him it didn’t matter whatsoever ‘cause look at all the poseurs making out’; ironically, the more he messed with Seth’s hair, kissed his face, hugged him, the more people thought they were boys being boys.
As he was standing, it was easier to see across the room and there was no sight of Xion or Seth yet so he figured they were stuffing food down their throats. Catcher sighed after Donna finished speaking but gave her a placid empty smile, rather flat noticing her putting on her undeniable charms to regale him; she just wanted him to stop being a twit and he could tell from her changing her tone. He wasn’t completely unaware of the heavy atmosphere he had caused and he knew she would give him a good chiding later or worse if no one else did; she was trying to smooth things over by being candid with Natasha and being fantastic. To be fair, Natasha would be deciding how she wanted to react to his candor about Quil and he was steadfast with what he had said to her. Don’t tell her what to do; I wasn’t telling her what to do… He gave a nod, pursing his lips, accepting her suggestion before glancing at Natasha as if to tell her she should take what Donna had extended to her as better than having him. They would all have fun again when she let out what she had been keeping in her like a ball and chain to her ankle. She needed to free herself from being a jailbird and if anyone could break her out of that soul penitentiary it would be someone who understood a young girl and had lived many lives over without aging a day. The more he recited this belief in his mind, the more it would come true and he genuinely hoped he never had to hear about Quil again unless he actually showed up. He would like to see him but the animosity between the pack and himself was unresolved and he didn’t feel convinced it would go too well no matter how much he did appreciate what Quil did for him when they met and on random days he and Seth had needed a rolemodel.
Catcher had turned to walk back to the other side of the assembly hall where the punch bowl was at; it didn’t even look the same colour as before and he wondered what concoction they had let it become. I could just smell it… He could smell it, and it was like ethanol with some fake sugary fruit. At least it’s not artificial vanilla flavouring made from Beaver butt sacks… Hard to believe, that and the pink worms that made colouring in some Strawberry milk… he really could pass as a nerd. He could pull off Potter glasses… He grinned to himself as he began to venture over the dance floor for the nth time; feeling unsettled that everyone was becoming more and more familiar with him. In the near future, he would never make it across to the punch bowl. A small crowd around the drinks table parted and he saw her and thought he was either already too drunk and should turn around… or that he had gone to hell.
Suddenly in his virtual cemetery, there was no noise and he could feel his body rocking slightly with his rising heart rate; the beating organ was signaling peril, threatening arrhythmia. He could’ve had a heart attack or a stroke as he felt his pulse flatlining; an electric scare reviving him. Since none of the rest of the pack had arrived, this was just a figment of his imagination but he couldn’t calm it. Catcher remembered what he had thought about seeing Veronica again, how many times he had replayed different outcomes and scenarios that ranged from her murdering him with a home depot weapon to kissing her again under fireworks. It wasn’t a dream or he’d be saying something cheesy and she’d be swooning, actually vice versa; was it a nightmare? Once upon a time they were falling in love, now he was going to fall over with the onset of a headache. He was rooted and trying to beckon his sober sensible self back into him with difficulty; there was a godforsaken song playing and he was convinced this was just a walk through purgatory. My lover has humour...
He forgot he had senses; they were severed. He couldn’t smell her and he couldn’t tell if it really was her since he’d never seen her in a dress of flurrying tulle. He hadn't seen her since that night... Red… All he could see was red and that was what she had worn. But now it was in his eyes in a flash like he had been blinded by paparazzi camera flashes. It was the furthest thing from the best turnout; even the phantom of her wasn’t fresh off a plane here to welcome him. She had moved so fast he thought he was seeing things, haunted by the ghost of her; he couldn’t feel her, not even her hand that connected with his face in a thunderous clap.
A slap so loud his ears rang; she was a wolf enraged. If it wasn’t for the growing burn that must have become a handprint, he would have thought he passed out somewhere and someone was waking him up with a wet towel. A wet towel that started to burn like fire… At any given time he should have been able to stop her, grab her by the wrist before it hit him and that was what he thought would have happened if she had tried to slap him. That was the perfect fantasy… That was before he had so many mixtures of drinks… and lost part of his reflexes. As he opened his eyes, instinctively clapping his own hand across the cheek she slapped, he thought she was a spirit; a shadow in her best form, in the colour he found most striking on a woman, an apparition. It all happened in a way that was breathtaking and unreal, the exact way that was too fitting to be true. She couldn’t be alive in front of him, she made no noise, said nothing and was unmoved by anything that had just happened; he was almost certain someone else had slapped him and he just saw what possessed them in her image, guilt-ridden and still not entirely over her.”V…” He was trying to say her name, not the nickname he had for her but instead he couldn’t finish the words without having to stretch his jaw and keep touching his face in confusion as to how much it hurt, shaking his head quickly. A part of him thought he shouldn’t utter her name in fear he had summoned her as a demon of his past, to punish himself and drag him away, a hellhound.
Catcher didn’t know he had the courage to wonder but he couldn’t take his eyes off her as he blinked, brows furrowed, pupils swelling in size and mouth slightly open. His hand left his face like it had been stung, the skin on his cheek tingling from touch and he straightened up, staring completely stunned yet also vainglorious she had lost her cool. She never forgot him; she was still mad at him… and haughtily that told him he still meant something to her… to an extent. She got her payback... but she wanted to move on... A moment ago, he was irritated but now he was finding a new kind of self-assertion; he didn’t care about any of the onlookers, any of the people who moved away from them in the clash. If looks could kill, right now it was the two of them and his glare disappeared. He just kept looking at her, searching for some emotion in her eyes, his own narrowing and dewy with sentimentality. He supposed he deserved that… but he didn’t want to say it and make her right. A part of him was also piqued and annoyed that it all meant she never knew he left her because it was what was best for her and everything came back to him.
Forcing himself to stay calm, he was breathing deeply and slowly trying not to let any anger and frustration build, all the while reading her. Eventually a soft smirk drew across his lips; he did enjoy her having such strong feelings for him and since he couldn’t fight her, he really didn’t know what else to do when his brain was reeling and close to being hammered. Is this some kind of joke… I must be blind, someone just dressed to look like her… there was no way with that resemblance... or that good an actress. It was the cycle of grief but jumbled, denial and acceptance colliding. He could tell she was antagonized by him and he continued maintaining it just by existing. There was still remorse in him, facts he couldn’t ignore and of all the things he tried to say, he couldn’t find anything better that would let her react purely emotion driven; he felt himself wanting her to be as mad as she wanted, to let it out, or cry it away because any reaction was better than no reaction. He was afraid of being ignored now that she appeared; bargaining with their breakup as though it just happened. He was thinking about her, thinking about him, thinking about them, traveling back... down that road...
Seeing as there was so much pending between them, Catcher took the slowest steps he had ever had to take in his life. He strode towards her; to be right in front of her, unafraid of another slap since the first had already driven the edge of a knife and awakened him. It would dare her and bother her; everything was blue turning grey as he stitched himself up at the seams. He inhaled, his nervous system vibrating through him as she manifested into a physical being and he felt the heat of her outburst and her shallow breathing; Hell had frozen over and this was real. He lowered his gaze to look down before her and serenely spoke the words so only she could hear; it was for her and it was for him. Even if it was only a dream and she was a spectre, he could feel them in the air, conscious she was likely to slip away through the moment like the sands of time. "Thank you..." Closing his eyes, he exhaled and his fingers reached to her face airily, strands of her dark glistening hair gliding through between them as he lightly touched his forehead to hers. Maybe it was intuition but some things, he couldn't question. If he could've given her everything, this was something... even if he thought she was devoid of love for him; they found closure. She found him... she calmed the storm, she gave him rest and she stilled his heart so he might find peace again.

Nothing that tonight had became was anything he would have expected. Seth didn’t think he would have gotten drunk, run into Xion and then be asked out by the hulk of man but it did. He couldn’t deny it now Seth always like that though Xion was so big, but had a soft side most beefy muscular guys didn’t. It was the thing Seth liked about him the most, looks weren’t anything they never stayed the same, a kind heart is something you can hold onto for life. Seth looked up at Xion smiling giving him his signature lop sides grin. “Thing will be good as long as you treat me right.” A small laugh followed.
His cheeks flushed, as Xion mentioned stealing more then a few dance, he was not sure what all would entailed but he would let Xion take lead. Seth could be wild, but many had not seen him a more then the fun brother. Seth was more then that, he had always been free to be his youthful fun loving self. He like both mean and woman but never had a real relationship more then just a little puppy love.
“Space needle? Really cool idea.” Seth was actually very excited he was like a little boy being told he might get to go to Disneyland. It had been a place he had always wanted to go, there to they be away from prying eyes and be fee to be themselves. No judgments.
The mention of Donna and his friends snapped Seth back to reality. They had originally had left for snacks. It turned into something some unexpected surprise that made Seth forget he was even hungry. It was a rare occasion where feeling of euphoria could take away his hunger.
“Sure we should get back, Tash can be a bit unpredictable at time, she be fine as long as Catcher looks after her. I'd be more worried about him” Seth had looked towards the door there was walking Veronica. He has knew something had been going on between Cathcher and V before but didn't think she show up to prom since everyone hasn't been seen in town for a while.
Seth walked over to the snack machine and punched it lightly twice. A few snacks jiggles loose and fell to the bottom. “Just like you these machine have a sweet spot.” Seth wink and pulled the fallen snacks from the slot. Chucking a bag or two Xion’s way. “Let’s get back on there. I'm sure there is going to be a show.”
Seth had walked into the gym to see Catcher being slapped across the face. He was gald it wasn’t him on the end of Veronica rath.

“A Dracula invitation eh? Remind be to think of something as clever.” Xion must have a good sense of humor. Natasha would have to get to know him better. She had been pretty antisocial with most just not known how to deal with all the changes that happen in just a short time in her life. She heard about his fight with Quil and never really asked questions about it.
Natasha could help but to be taken off guard by Catcher. All she to voice to Donna that she didn’t care on what really happen to the boys. From her point of view the boys we just messy and all over the place most the time it must have be just all the testosterone flowing though their systems.
She felt like withdrawing back into herself as she was just a little protective of Quil and wanted Donna to know he matter to her. “Catcher, you just don’t understand.” She was going to let his comments bug her. She knew he had more then what he need to drink already. He was a grown man. She rolled her eyes and shook her head.
Tash looked back at Donna ready just to blow him off for the rest of the night. People got stupid when then drink. “ Ugh, boys are just idiots sometimes. Bet you found that out years ago.” A small snicker left her lips Donna said she would slap him lifted her hand to her mouth to hide it.
She was glad Catch stepped away from the table to get another drink. A good friend would make sure he got home safe. Tash would probably end up throwing both Catcher and Seth in the back or her car and driving them home later at this rate. “ If he pukes in my car on the way home I will get you to make Jake sign his precious Nissan over to me.Deal?”
In the process of trying to settle her deal with the vamp, Veronica unexpectedly entered the gym. She like Catcher had shown up out of the past making want seemed some sort of normal life return to La Push. It was as parts of the pack were returning from the dead. She watched as her friend, her pack sister reached out and hit Catcher across the face. She didn’t leap to his defense it wasn’t her place to. “Wow,” was the only thing that she could say. He must have really passed her off.

Everything's coming up Xion tonight, so far. He was in his glories. It had been a while since he'd been this happy about something in a long time. He recalled his day with Sam which ended in him taking a nasty tumble, which led to meeting Donna. He was so excited to tell her about his budding romance with Seth. He wasn't even sure if Seth would go for it, but his flirtatious nature betrays him. He wouldn't be able to get away with that in a more openly queer space. La Push is stuffy, traditional, not open. Xion, having been a bit more traveled, knew that attitudes like Seth's would land him in hot water if he weren't careful. Xion learned very early in his queer life how easily taken advantage of a starry eyed kid could be if they didn't have their wits about them, but now Xion could act as Seth's friend and almost Seth's protector. His impulsiveness and spontaneity was certainly a turn on, but if he'd ever go out of control, Xion would have the be the one to reel him in, but all of that was in the future, this was the here and now and Xion felt right about it. He felt right about going to prom, he felt right about inviting Donna, he felt right about asking Seth out. It was all a marvelous evening. Xion was truly happy with the way everything was going. It almost made up for him coming back and why he left in the first place.
Seeing Seth's cheeks go red as Xion mentioned the possibility of kissing him gave Xion serious butterflies. He appeared even cuter than he did when he was acting up. Xion didn't want this to be puppy love and it seemed that Seth wanted something real out of this as well, as his body language was very telling. Xion wasn't a stupid person, but he didn't want his own sense to double cross him. It was important that Xion handle this relationship with kindness and caring and not like some fling, which was what he was most accustomed to. It wasn't that Xion slept around, it was that, that was the atmosphere that existed around Xion. No one wanted to get in touch with his heart, only his parts. So his good nature was most assuredly taken advantage of. He had to reteach himself how to love, not only himself, but also those around him. Xion's past was checkered and he's made some mistakes on his way, but he'd come out of them stronger and more emotionally intelligent because of it. This was something new and something exciting and something worthwhile and Xion was just very much enjoying the bond that Seth and himself were about to form.
When Seth was happy about the SpaceNeedle date, Xion's stomach did a somersault. He wanted to be his most authentic self with Xion and it made Xion's heart explode with happiness, but it also caused Xion to pause briefly and his mind started doubting everything, "What if he only wants to be a couple outside of La Push? What if he doesn't want to be a couple in front of his "bros" or his other girlfriends. Am I just something casual? No he would've made that statement already. Don't think about things that haven't happened yet, Xi. Just enjoy the fact that you will have someone to share yourself with in more than just a physical way." Xion thought putting his own fears to rest as Seth mentioned going back to the party. It helped bring Xion out of his doubting funk and it also put a bit of fear into him as he would hope that the gymnasium wasn't a blood bath. He trusted Catcher, but in his inebriated state he wanted to make sure that his vampire friend wasn't crucified by the female wolf, "Yea..." Xion said in response to Seth's mentioning of Catcher being the one to be worried about. He just hoped everyone was making nice and getting along. He knew inviting Donna to La Push High might not have the smartest idea, but he wanted the support of his friend and he knew she loves to party and get dressed so this was the perfect excuse to get her out of her home for a bit.
Xion was quickly brought back to reality when Seth banged on the vending machine as two more snacks fell. Xion bit the side of his lower lip, "I'm sure you'll do your best to find mine...Just like I will do the same to find yours." He sniped back matching Seth's energy. Xion was always sexual and flirtatious, but he was also incredibly sensitive and did his best to be respectful and courteous...even to guys he'd only see once and then never again. The more he interacts with Seth the better he feels about crushing on him and wanting to see where the waters and winds take the two of them. Xion was already planned romantic dinners and vacations in his head. As well as morning-afters. Seth tossed two bags of snacks to Xion's already loaded hands. He caught them and followed Seth back into the gymnasium and what a show it had been.
Veronica had entered the fray and it'd looked like she just slapped Catcher. Xion made a confused face, but figured that was between the two of them and he needn't be involved in those wolves affairs. He also noticed that the teens were, to be frank, all over each other and the adults had since flown the coup. Xion had put all the snacks he had in both of his hands into one of his hands, so one hand was free. Xion had no idea what time it was nor did he understand why the party was still ongoing. It was time he bring this party to it's close. He quickly and swiftly walked to Seth and whispered in his ear, "Babe...you go check on Catcher I'll handle...everything else." He slapped Seth's behind and then moved to where Donna and Natasha were seated. He plopped the snacks on the table and smiled at both Donna and Natasha, "I'm glad you're both still talking to each other and not what I was assuming you'd be doing. I'm proud of both of you...Donna....put your sunglasses on...and button up your coat." He said as he then marched to the stage where the DJ was still playing. The music was great, but as he walked next to the DJ he looked at their computer to see that it was about midnight. Xion and Donna had gotten there around 9:30-10 o'clock so that tracked. Xion grabbed the Microphone and tapped it a few times while signaling to the DJ to cut the music.
One it was silent Xion looked out to the confused party goers, "Hi gang...It seems the actual chaperones have...disappeared. It's past midnight and if you remember in Cinderella...it's time to head home from the ball. So if you don't want your carriages to turn into pumpkins...and by that I mean facing the La Push police force...I suggest you all start to vacate the premises...Our Prom King and Queen...are both me and myself. Your votes will all be counted and the true winner will be announced during school hours tomorrow. Goodnight and get home safe. The lights will be coming up, you've been warned. Make sure you have a designated driver!" Xion said as he hung up the microphone. To show that he was serious about everything he said, he marched over to the light switches and and flicked them all on. The sounds of students groaning and complaining about the lights blinding them almost made Xion happy in an authoritative sort of way. He didn't know where this sudden boost of confidence came from, "Donna must be rubbing off on me." he thought lastly as he strode over to the table where Donna and Natasha were seated. He tore open a bag of crunchy cheetos and victoriously gobbled the whole bag up in one shot.

Donna truly was a refined woman with many talents, including a marvelous sense of tact and fashion. Living as long as she had gave her the ability to research and update herself as the times progressed. Tonight she was able to really show off her chops. She would take her time in trying to forge a relationship with the wolves, not out of getting anything out of them...they were just more fun to be around than other vampires who were a bit stuffier and by the book. Truly there was only one difference between vampires and wolves...and that was the smell. Donna was very astute and made sure to educate herself in all ways she knew how. Having a refined sense of self was wildly important in this day an age. Especially with her becoming closer to certain members of the pack. She liked to make sure the she was as educated on one side as she was on the other. It wasn't in her nature to be "dumb" unless she was playing so to help a friend out. Which she sometimes had to. She didn't like it as appearing dumb makes you look weak, and being a member of the Volturi you couldn't "be" unintelligent...just uninformed. Donna however was always different. She excelled in fighting, manipulation, but she failed to be indoctrinated. Sure she was sent to kill Bella, but to what end would that benefit her? She was out to protect herself and she used her powers of persuasion to get exactly what she wanted...at the risk of being excommunicated and potentially killed by other Volturi...specifically Aro. Donna always slept with a knife under her pillow...not because of fear she'd be assaulted at night, but because she was Italian...and that's just what she taught herself to do.
She enjoyed conversing with Natasha, she was smart, but shy. She wasn't afraid, however, to be her most authentic self when given the opportunity to let herself be...which is something she was definitely starting to do, "Yea we exchange silly things like that all the time. I've even sent him some...rubber chew toys, which he appreciates." She said not telling Natasha that they're actually highly realistic sex toys. She always made her job to be an excellent gift giver, and knowing Xion well enough she felt comfortable giving him gifts that he'll enjoy over and over again. She understood why people thought her and Xion were a couple. They complimented each other in a way that few could really understand, but they were both outcasts and that's where the similarities really start. They both have a delicious sense of humor and wicked wits, but Xion was the jolly happy dog to Donna's cunning and playful cat. There was something right about them entering a room together. Xion was tall and broad and in peak physical condition. Donna was just about his height, very well developed, and also in peak physical condition. It always made her chuckle when people found out that Xion was not only a wolf, but very gay, Hopefully if things go right with Seth it'll take some of the heat off of us being mistaken for a couple." Donna thought to herself.
"Honey...if ever you want to hear stories about awful men...We'll make it a day with the girls and we can chat chit." She said smilingly. She wanted to make Natasha feel she could talk to her. Maybe this was the way to get wolves and vamps to agree to disagree civilly and not with such prejudice. Let the wall of Jericho come tumbling down. Donna was so over the idea that vamps and wolves couldn't get along, but as long as there was...prejudices and hate...peace would be a very difficult thing to achieve. So all Donna could do was focus on herself and her relationship to people. Not her species, and certainly not other species. Donna was a pragmatist. She insisted on practicality and didn't judge anyone unless they did wrong by her...so far no one really has. Donna liked the freedom of being able to talk to whomever she wanted to talk to and do what she wanted to and not be tethered to traditions and radical ideations that were, often times, just based and steeped in problematic histories. It was her way and she liked it just so.
She laughed when Natasha mentioned the car being signed over to her, "You got brass, kid, I'll give you that, but unfortunately the car is now in Jake's name...you'd have to take that deal up with him." Donna wasn't about to give a car to someone she hardly knew. The reason she gave the car to Jake and Embry in the first place was as a peace offering to what she thought was only the two wolves she was ever going to meet. She didn't know it'd turn into a family affair. However, Donna was exceedingly generous and she wasn't afraid to show off her wealth with gifts neither, she would give Natasha something far more valuable than a car and that's advice on how to be a better woman. Something Donna thought herself to be an expert on. Catcher was seemingly taking his sweet time with the punch and Donna had looked at her watch. It's almost 12...shouldn't this party be...winding down? She thought to herself as she started to see Xion and Seth enter back into the gymnasium.
Hell in heels, however, took Donna right out of her conversation with Natasha and her focus off Xion and Seth. She saw a very attractive young woman, storm in, in a very fetching red dress with tulle flaring out just under her hips looking like a dancing flame. Her dark brown hair looked almost black in the dim lighting of the gymnasium. Donna was incredibly impressed by the gown and the attitude this girl carried with herself, but no sooner Donna was intrigued by this girl she held her mouth as the young woman cracked Catcher a cross the face with an open palm slap. She reached for Natasha's arm who looked like she was about to get up and act as Catchers protector, "I think you better stay out of that, mess, Natasha...we both should." Donna, always logical, was totally taken aback by the young girls physical manhandling of Catcher, "Spurned lover...old ex...she's getting her closure...good for her." Donna thought as she brought her hand down from her mouth. It was at that moment that Xion brought her back to reality as he quickly sauntered over to the table and dumped a whole bunch of snacks and drinks which he obviously got for Seth, but were now the wolves meals for the evening.
Donna didn't have time to ask how his conversation with Seth went before he booked it to the stage. Donna, needing little prompting, slipped her sunglasses back on and buttoned up her overcoat, I guess it went well...he had a smile on his face as he came over here...but what is he-" Her thoughts were cut off as Xion took to the stage and made a grand statement about Cinderella and the La Push police force, "What is this nut do...ing?" Donna looked around and sure enough there were no adults to be found, the DJ was still playing and before Donna knew it the lights went on and those fluorescent gymnasium lights were no joke. Even with her glasses on Donna still winced at the brightness. She shook it off, but still managed to laugh at Xions closing speech. When he sat down with the girls he had such a smug look of happiness on his face as he gobbled down the cheetos, "Masterfully done, your majesty...you really know how to handle a group of kids...have you considered running your own petting zoo or daycare? I guess Seth should give you the crown for being both Prom King And Queen." She asked with a laugh as she took out her phone. She simply text, Xion a thumbs up emoji with a question mark next to it. She'd hoped Xion did good...and his attitude certainly looked as thought he did.
