Well Seth did originally come or the drama , and drama he did get. It was no the kind of drama he had expected. He had originally thought he see breakups, make-ups and all the fan fair in between. He himself didn’t think it would be his friends returning like a bad magician’s act. It actually made the night even better.
Seth stood beside Xion, opened a bag of snacks and shoveled the morsels of delicious in to mouth. He watched as Catcher take the wrath of the oh so beautifully dressed Veronica. He had still not know much about the going on between the two all he had be told was Embry was some how involved and things all soft of dissolves after that or so Seth though.
Was he watching a Netflix drama or something? Vampire and wolves getting a long, scorn girlfriend coming back from revenge, new budding romances. He though should look into the script writing process they might have a banger on his hands.
He had felt Xion breath onhis ear calling him Babe, that pulled him back to reality. He never had thought he was a babe. Seth nodded taking Xi advice he should go play referee before broke out of control. “Seth to the rescue.” He dropped his snacks on the flooded leaving his new beau, and strutting over to his friends jumping in between them.
“ Okay, now I know your angry V.”Seth put waved his arms around like he was refereeing a boxing match. “ Your look gorgeous by the way. You got you one free smack in, now we should all just relax and do as my mom always said. Use your words.” Seth hated when people he knew got had some sort of conflict with each other.
The booming voice Xion come out over the speakers, kicking everyone out. It was one thing he admired about this man was he really knew how to command a room. Confidence was always so hot. Seth placed a hand on Catcher’s shoulder “umm….I really don’t know what’s going on but if I can help defuse things just let me know.”
Seth ran over to Xion and placed the crown on his head, then started ushering out the door. “You heard the King go home. Be safe and don’t drink or drive.” It took a few minutes but everyone seemed to made their way to the doors. Seth returned to Tash's side nudging he in the arm. “Got something to tell you. I'm going to the space needle.”

Slapping Catcher across his face was something Veronica was not hoping for. Prom night was going to let loose after years, she was going to dance the night away and drink until she's not in her senses. Over the years she has built tolerance against alcohol and relied on alcohol more than she can remember. Now, she wasn't alcoholic but she did have days where she needed a break from what ifs playing in her head. Veronica thought she wouldn't drink after being dunked in a wine barrel and hated the taste of wine but everyone says they're not going to drink, right? But here she was, sober and replying what just happened. She could feel her body warming up little more than usual, heart palpitations and her mind screaming at her to run as fast she can. But she couldn't. She was tired, exhausted and burnt out from all the running. It was time to face this like a woman she promised herself she would be. No more running. No more fighting your way through things. No more being alone.
Veronica kept staring at Catcher to see a reaction, for him to say something or do something aside from smirk he normally does. She didn't move an inch when Catcher closed distance between them nor when he was her eye-love. Hearing him say "Thank you...", she was taken back by response. When you normally slap someone, they don't say thank you unless they're lunatic and out of their freaking mind. Who am I kidding. This is Catcher who does shady random shit and at times may get away with it. This was something different, should I bother poking this wolf-bear again and see more reaction? It would be funny but...another time. Veronica heard Xion's voice booming through the gymnasium about who the prom king and queen was and reference to cinderella. She chuckled slightly at Xion's speech and shook her head. Leave it to Xion to kick everyone out. She wasn't ready to leave yet, not until the air was cleared between her and Catcher.
"Are you out of your goddamn mind!? You think it's easy to leave without...." Veronica was furious and wanted to slap him again. She stopped herself before she let her anger take her over. Seth's voice and arms moving caught her attention and forgot that he might be here along with Tasha. "SETH! Hi. Thank you, you don't look bad yourself." Listening to Seth quote his mom, she shook her end. She raised her hand towards Seth to scare him but ended up patting him on his back. Veronica's manners came into play and knew what Seth was saying made sense. When did he became so mature about everything? She wasn't going to make additional scene in front of everyone. This is matter between Veronica and Cather; a private matter which will be, somehow someway, resolved.
Slowly everyone started vacating gymnasium and she thought if she would leave with them or not. It was very tempting as her heels were killing her, ice cream and tequila was calling her name. Veronica took couple steps back, bent down and took off her heels, murmuring "who in their right mind said stilettos are beautiful when they're painful". She held her stilettos by the heel, stood up and looked around the gymnasium. Decoration was done perfectly and she know it was Natasha's doing; she has eyes for every small details. Her eyes stopped at table where Natasha and Seth were along with a vampire wearing sunglasses. She was confused as to why there was vampire in La Push and surprised that no one has made a fit about it. How much has changed since I left? Veronica came across numerous vampires, some are nice and some are rude with no emotions aside from feeding off humans. She waved at Natasha, Seth and Xion; she thought was strong enough to face her pack but in reality she wasn't. . Sighing, Veronica looked at Catcher one more time, shaking her head she turned around and walked out of gymnasium.
Veronica wanted to phase and run through the woods to feel air on her face and go to place where she would find peace. Alas, she couldn't. She spent time and energy to get ready today but not enough strength to deal with others. She got to her car, opened her trunk to take out small tequila bottle. She unscrew bottle, chugged it and took deep breath; slowing exhaled to calm her nerves.

As the microphone on stage made a shrill static noise, a couple of thuds echoed the room and he heard Xion’s voice project over the music as the song died. He lifted his head, opening his eyes and turned to see what the commotion was about, delicately removing contact with Veronica. Catcher was a little dazed and delirious, absorbing only part of what Xion was saying; the key words being pumpkins, police, tomorrow and home. There was something funny about the sentences that combined them all and he was trying to process how weird it was to see Xion talk so fast and openly; so elated by good vibes.
When bright unflattering fluorescent lights came on in flickering sections across the hall as the panels clicked on, he felt like he was being seen as clearly as breath in the cold. It caused stars in his eyes while things around him were dotted like a pointillism painting; he kept blinking until each close didn’t cause multi coloured seizures of light. He rubbed the corner of his eye as his sight adjusted and he tried to piece back what Xion had announced while disappointed moans resounded around him. He had been at one with the night, and made him feel entirely self-conscious for one new reason aside from being shone upon.
Veronica practically yelled in his face and for a moment he thought she was going to beat him all the way to his knees. Yes he was out of his goddamn mind because ‘that’ would have been easier to react to tenfold. Somehow that would be funny to him and he grew disturbed at his train of thought. There was a lot she was saying to Seth now that he had come to intervene; and he took it to heart how much Seth was trying for him even when he was heavily under the influence. Feeling the hand on his shoulder trying to be steady, he smiled shortly and said tilting his head to face his best friend with humility. ”We’re…okay.” It wasn’t exactly the truth so his answer was only half honest; he spoke coolly as he rolled his eyes halfway over Veronica’s swift mood transition. She was definitely more alright than he was, as he watched her conduct herself like a socialite; flipping him off figuratively with no problems. Just as he decided to agree with her that it wasn’t easy to leave, she bulldozed over everything to catch Natasha’s attention; typically, she would do this when she was trying to snub him and he knew it too well. It was a noxiously magnetic technique that had him scheming all the same. It was her being a malady of his, an ailment he couldn’t recover from and a drug that enslaved. Squeezing his face with a hand, he looked on, bewildered at her taking her shoes off, mildly flinching at her extremely odd movement, suspecting she might stab him with her high blade heels.
When Veronica turned sharply, giving him a warning gesture not to press her about anything as she shook her head, he reached out for her with a hand before retracting it.When did he become so understanding and reserved? Is she out of her mind?! She couldn't just leave like that.... What the heck was that?! Flailing his arms before him, he gesticulated in total exasperation, acutely aware he was being a hypocrite. His thoughts were dynamites exploding one after another now that she had displayed something clear. There were no signs from her other than that one and he was disheartened. She was stalking away as fast as she came, clutching her dress as she literally ran out on him, he started after her for a few paces, shoes making an ear splitting screech on the reflective floor trying to catch up. If he was to be true to himself, he would have run out after her and protested, tried to fan her down from escaping him; behaved in all the ways he was when he had trouble letting go. Dead in his tracks, he stopped before the doorway to watch the silhouette shrink into the distant parking lot, silent footsteps as ghostly as she arrived. She was a perspective drawing of a genuine Cinderella departing her midnight escapade, the dress billowing and hair flowing; only it dampened him that she didn’t care enough to look back.
Standing at the door way, he leaned his hand on one half of the opened doors that were secured to stay open; he almost slammed it in bitterness. Internally crippled, his grip relaxed and slid off the door as he gave up and laid his back against it, half way turned to go back where he came. After everything that happened, he had no right to change things; he had to let her leave if she wanted to. He didn’t even have an idea or plan… It would just be wasting her time. What good would it do, realistically… He was just laid bare from her strike… He was mad at his own reasoning, pissed at having logic; vexed he was resolving to handcuff himself once more to the same girl, again, with no good excuse. While this was not the same version of her he knew, she had never let him get away with ruining her night and he listened for the sound of an engine starting, relieved it never came. Hope was hard to kill.
He glanced around to see some people start heading to the side, picking up their personal items while others sat down, weariness catching up on them; a couple of students stayed sitting at their tables with their phones. A couple of kids passed by him at the door way, laughing to themselves and he could not stand it when they looked at him; he was the type of person where emotions were easily in every crease of his face and he knew it was presently domineering. Seth was doing a professional job of getting rid of people so they had the space to themselves and he was thrilled now, sarcastic about prom; won't it be a revolution if the pack showed up now...
Junk food and tipped cups littered the table cloths, and the punch bowl was now almost empty; every blemish that was hidden in the dark was visible now. It didn’t even look like the same place; he looked down at his own shirt then his feet, and the ground that was strewn with stuff. The court floor was no longer buffed and he became more aware of himself flushing to be more alert; his head was clearing but the bulbs made it hard to withstand the weighted feeling of an anvil in place of his head. Catcher was tempering out and he realized he needed to be here for everyone else as they had been for him; in this time, he wouldn't try to leave town, repeatedly heading to nowhere. Especially when Seth was plastered. He made a grumbling sound, discouraging his inner aggravation to not be the way he was; chasing after dreams or not facing them. You just don’t understand…Natasha’s voice circled in his mind as he was reworking himself to be better, to return to her; he made the decision to do the right thing and not disappear as he pleased just because this had rattled his core, and not to go after Veronica no matter how much he wanted to. Maybe someone else would... Ugh. Look what he turned into.
Catcher watched his friends at the table just to take in all the appreciation for them that he had; it was easy when the scene he witnessed was untroubled, smiling and euphoric. There was brightness about Xion as he seemed more carefree than he’d ever seen him before. The years that passed between them fell into oblivion; they were all together again like nothing ever changed. Seth’s seat was happily sandwiched between Donna and Xion while Natasha actively engaged in the stacks they brought; there was something comforting and quaint with the open packets on the tabletop. They… were all rubbing off on him… more dazzling than ever. He had no idea they had just watched him star in the first episode of his spin off show with popcorn in their lap. His chest rose and fell with another sigh, and he paced back to where they sat turning his head to look back but unable to go through with seeing what he was leaving behind.
Tipping casually over to the other side of the table, he flipped another chair toward them so he could sit with it backwards; laying his chin on his arms which he folded over the back of the seat facing them. Not even his enemies, would be able to avoid how noticeably morose he was; he was resisting an impulse they all identified him with. His gaze was flicking between the bags of food and random bottles of water that had no labels, just half peeled glue. Their halcyon days settled in as he looked back at life with them by living it now. Grabbing a bag of crisps, he crunched on a slice; instantaneously aware he had completely forgotten about the drinks. Shit... hopefully they had just witnessed the same debacle he went through... and seen the disgusting punch bowl. Making a pained expression, he said nothing, shiftily eating his chips in quiet dejection. He was lost in thought and appeared despondent, not meeting anyone in the eye until he was able to manage a smile that was stretched thin; he was trying to fit in again, to be uplifting and feel uplifted by them. They were the only good he could ever do. He couldn’t predict the future and he had already lost Veronica and now he wondered if there was something wrong with him; it made him perk up randomly, so innocently he could play an ingenue. Catcher was a whole mood; holding on to what was still happening here and never letting go. He wanted to be their first string, they were his A-team, positivity reanimating him. If it wasn’t them, it wasn’t anyone. ”So, weird question... Am I… shady?”

All that unfolded in a few amount of minutes caught Tash off guard. There she was having a actually conversation with a vampire whom she had actually enjoyed when Xion shut everything down. The music was off, Seth was splitting up Veronica and Catcher and she was left sitting with Donna watching the situation all play out. The lights came on and the amount of disrespect people had for keeping the gym clean was disgraceful. She have to come back tomorrow and to help clean it up. It as no one knew what a trash can was, utterly Piguet behaviour.
A wave came from Veronica and Tash waved back weakly she was excited to see her friend but it was like she was seeing the same shade of red as he dress. She didn’t get up as Veronica left the gym the way she came. At this point she knew Veronica need a minute, they had similar tempers at times. It came with being a she wolf. They could be easily angered.
Everyone began gathering around the table again. Seth had sat between Donna and Xion . Tash held out her hand and made him give him the keys to his truck. “There is no way I’m letting you drive home. We will load Catcher’s bike into then back and ill take it home for the night.” She hasn’t drank enough to feel anything, she was never a big partier and would want to disrespect herself like that.
Natasha then directed he attention to Catcher who seemed to now be in other mood all together. She stood up and patted him on the back. She knew he had history with Veronica but to the extent she didn’t know. “She has had a good minute to cool off how about you walk outside and see if she is still here, and as for being shady, I think you’re a perfect gentleman until you get a few drink into you.” Natasha grabbed him by the shirt and pulled Catcher out of the Chair. She reached into his pants pocket and pulled out his keys. Keeping them for the night also.“ Now go.”

Xion had pulled Seth's keys out of his pocket while they were on their way to the snack table. He would make sure to take Seth home. Xion was ultimately in his glories. He listened to Donna joke around with him and he laughed at her witty retorts, "Dondi...have you ever considered wearing white?" He fired back, "Alls well." He said to Donna with a coy smile, "I do, however think that janitorial has their work cut out for them...and I'm unsure if we should help or just leave it for them." He wanted to get out of there fast, only because the fast him and Seth skirted out of there, the sooner Xion would get to have a kiss goodnight.
There was no dancing, no more dim lighting, everything was laid bare for everyone to see. Veronica and Catcher were still on the dance floor and it looked like Veronica was leaving. Catcher slowly creeped to the table and sat down with the 4-some. He looked so hapless and down. Xion couldn't help but rest his hand on Catcher's shoulder, "I wouldn't say you're shady...scatterbrained, definitely...but not shady. I guess you can say you're an innocent victim of circumstance." He said rubbing the young wolfs back, "You'll figure it out..." Xion said with a smile.
It was at that moment that Veronica put her hand out to accept Seth's keys. Xion smirked as he jingled Seth's keys, "Got him covered, already. I'm taking him back to his place and dropping him off, then most likely getting furry and going back to my car. It's all squared away, however I think Catcher, here, is going to need some serious moral support. I will say this, Seth is definitely more sober than he was earlier this evening. I also gave him one of those liter bottles of water...and told him it was vodka. He downed it in a few seconds." Xion said shoulder checking Seth with a laugh.
Natasha was obviously tired for the night, she grabbed Catcher by the collar and was marching him and herself to her car. Xion was impressed, "Girls got gumption." He said smiling, "And then there were three." He said turning towards Donna and Seth, "Seth...let's get you home, if you'd like to carouse around with me, I'll be on patrol sniffing out the area. There hasn't been a vampire sighting for months outside of Donna and she's...well she's Donna." He said lifting the vamps gloved hand to his lips, "As always you were the perfect date. I'll text you when I get home." He cooed. He got up and led Seth to Seth's car.
@#@#@#@#@#@
The ride from La Push high to Seth's house was arguably tense. There was obviously a yearning on both of their parts, but they obviously wanted to keep it classy, especially Xion, "Wild night huh?" Xion asked as they pulled up to Seth's house, "Listen if you're unsure about uh-" Xion couldn't finish his thought as Seth's lips crashed into his. Xion's eyes shot open and then closed as he matched Seth's energy. The liplock lasted an indeterminable amount of time and if Xion, or Seth wasn't careful there'd be a lot more mess to clean up in Seth's car than just the wrappings of old fast food. Seth pulled away with a cat like grin and Xion was left hungry for more. Xion closed his mouth, opened his eyes, and cleared his throat before finishing his thought, "... Us ... just ... uhm ... Hi." Xion said unsure of what his next move as going to be, "Want me to walk you to your door?" Xion said completely forgetting for a moment that he was driving Seth's car..and that he needed to get out of said car.
Xion was doing his best to cover up his very obvious erection, so he got out of the car and the cold night air woke him out of his lovestruck stupor. He looked at the car and the windows were incredibly fogged up. It made him let out a small chuckle. He walked over to Seth's side and opened the passenger side door for Seth to exit. Xion made his way to the door, the porch light was on and it gave the atmosphere a very ethereal feel. It made Xion feel warm and safe. He smiled and cleared his throat again waiting for Seth.

As the crew began to take their leave it became clear to Donna that she would be the caboose in this train. It wasn't that she'd mind. She came to the prom alone, she was going to leave alone. It was just as well, that was how Donna usually handled most of her human transactions. How she looked at is was she was going to outlive the wolves anyway. So what difference would it make for her to get bent out of shape being the last to leave. Donna was always going to be the last of. It's just that's how she operated. She was the last with her family. The last with her romances. The last with her friends. The last. And being so used to the idea of "finality" she preferred it that way. She never minded as it became so accustomed to her over the years. It was those quaint peaceful moments she could just sit in the quiet of it all. That sweet, deathly silence that came when the party had ended. Like inhaling a sturdy breath and letting out a low hum, that silence is so pleasant and calming to one who was so accustomed to it. Donna was always a loner after she was vamped...it just comes with the territory. Even when she trained with the Volturi she was a loner, she never did as she was told and she ended up breaking training soon as she got to Forks. It was just in her nature to be rebellious. She'd had all the time in the world to do anything she ever wanted and she did jus that. Her drive, her tenacity all led her to many wondrous and adventurous things...but she was always going to finish last.
The night was winding down peacefully. Xion and Seth took leave, Catcher and the she-wolf took leave, even the DJ peaced out. The gymnasium was an absolute disaster. Cups strewn everywhere, used condoms, empty liquor bottles. Kids were having a wild time and even had sex in the room where it happens, "Is this a high school or Sodom and Gomorrah?" She asked herself, walking around the gymnasium just being lazy and aloof. She found a perfectly full bottle of whiskey on the floor and immediately snatched it up. She thought it'd make a good present for Xion and Seth, whom obviously were smitten with each other. Xion's ears must've been burning cause she had just received a text message from him, "He kissed me...it was AMAZING!!! I'm gonna be out for the night if you want to call and shoot the breeze. Also...I hope you're not mad I left you in the lurch like that, but I'm so glad you were able to come out tonight. Love ya, Dondi. xoxo!" Donna was tickled. She only recently started telling Xion she loved him, but it was a platonic love and love shared by two very interesting, very different people. Donna was pretty overjoyed that things worked out for Xion. She text him back, "CONGRATULATIONS!!! <3 No worries. I'm still at the school for the moment...it's amazing how much damage unsupervised teens will cause. LOL. Be safe...Will call when I get home so you can tell me all the horny details...Love you too, Wolfie. <333" She slipped her phone, and her hands, into her coat pockets and walked out of the gymnasium.
As she walked to her car she heard the janitor scream in agony at the mess he was going to have to clean up. It made her lips curl into a dainty smile. She was the last to leave, but at least she wasn't the first to arrive to a messy gym, "Hopefully they pay that guy extra...if they don't...he should demand it." She said as she unlocked her car. The parking lot was still pretty filled with teens in cars making out and doing lord knows what by the time she had left so there was no telling how much sex was going on in and out of the gym, but one things for certain...plenty of mistakes would be made that night. Donna slammed her hand on her car horn. In doing that she heard a cacophony of metal bangs, screams, thuds, and grunts. She chuckled wickedly to herself as she turned her car on and headed home...It was a good night.
